Lighthouse Daily – 23rd September 2026…
Good day, fellow citizens and brothers and sisters in Christ,
Today we introduce the next four commentaries developing Paul S. Waugh’s open letter to Catrin Nye — and publish Part Four of the series:
Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett and the BBC: Why Won’t You Sit Down and Face the Truth?
“But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” — John 3:21
1. The Next Four Commentaries
The next four parts form one connected movement from refusal, through control, towards resolution and ultimately character.
- Part Four — Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett and the BBC: Why Won’t You Sit Down and Face the Truth? examines the repeated invitations to Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, the BBC, their sources and other accusers to enter a fair, reciprocal examination of the strongest claims and the complete evidence.
- Part Five — Diabolically Controlling Optics Rather Than Facing the Truth distinguishes the appearance of fairness from a process genuinely capable of allowing contrary evidence to alter the outcome.
- Part Six — Do You Want Resolution, or Only Totalitarian Victory? asks whether institutional power will impose its preferred account as the only permissible reality — or submit to truth, correction, restitution and repair.
- Part Seven — Character Is Revealed by the Truth We Are Willing to Bear considers the moral and Christian courage required to remain present when evidence threatens our reputation, certainty or preferred account.
2. Published Tonight: Part Four
For more than four years, Lighthouse has repeatedly asked Catrin Nye and the BBC to sit down — not for another tightly controlled interview inside a conclusion already reached, but for a full and properly structured encounter with the claims, sources, primary records and human consequences.
Paul’s invitation remains direct:
“Catrin, before I go any further — and I know you are extremely tired of me asking hundreds of times — would you like to have this out live in your studio?”
— Open letter, Section 2, paragraph 2
Catrin Nye now says she is scared of us.
That claim cannot become another route around accountability. If she will not face the evidence, then Jamie Bartlett — her production partner and a central figure in creating the programme — must stand beside the work he helped produce and answer for its human consequences. Is no one from the BBC Goliath willing to face the Lighthouse David? The BBC is outwardly confident, but inwardly not.
Part Four asks what the continuing refusal means. Refusal alone proves no allegation and should not be used as a shortcut to certainty. But it preserves a profound problem: the BBC’s globally distributed account remains protected from the fullest available test while those whose lives were publicly defined by it still lack an equivalent opportunity to answer.
The proposed test is straightforward: bring the strongest claims, bring the sources and bring the evidence. Lighthouse will bring its complete records and the full context.
Let both sides be questioned under fair conditions. Let every falsehood — including any falsehood of ours — be revealed, and let truth rather than institutional prestige or personal victory determine what survives.
The door remains open to Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, the production team, the BBC’s leadership and all those whose allegations shaped the currently falsified public record.
Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett and the BBC: why won’t you sit down and face the truth?
God bless,
Paul S. Waugh, Chris Nash and Shaun Cooper
Given Paul’s longstanding ill health resulting from the multiple Establishment attacks on him, these daily updates are generated by the team, drawing from Paul’s recent and earlier words and what we are working with here at Lighthouse. We ask you to keep him in your prayers as he builds strength and renews in our Lord.

The public need to know that when the BBC and mainstream media say they give a “right of reply” that they actually mean the equivalent of “last words” before a public execution. As that comes to light, it will reveal what has been presented as “news” for years is anything but.
This is a big question that’s being asked!
It’s amazing how evasive the BBC has been when it comes to speaking about the abomination that is A Very British Cult. If Catrin Nye’s so scared, then surely Jamie Bartlett, as a man, can step up and work out the solution to this problem.
Jamie Bartlett’s boasted about being involved with the investigation of matters involving Eastern European gangs, so this should be a walk in the park for him?!?
The lack of a comprehensive right to reply is indicative of the BBC’s attitude to fairness. They are so slippery and evasive. This is why the BBC sports department announced they are having to make 40 people redundant recently because they are so badly led.
If The BBC, Catrin Nye and Jamie Bartlett are so sure of their position, that they have truth and that their sources are telling the truth, then surely a sit down interview, with all the evidence, all the lawyers, accusers, defenders and people concerned, would be a great and significant contribution for a second series?
Why the stoic refusal BBC to engage directly with Lighthouse in open, fair and honest debate with all the facts, live and in real time?
This shows again how the BBC twists reality and how they try to hide instead of facing up to the truth and making their wrongs right. The BBC avoids engaging with those who are being attacked by them. It’s time to correct the public record!
Catrin Nye’s claims of being scared of us is another one of her many fabrications. She is only scared of sitting down with us and being further revealed for her unrepentant lying and life destruction of fellow citizens. We still pray she will repent for her lies.
These commentaries are vital elaborations on your letter, Paul. It is one thing to understand the way the BBC and Ms Nye have treated Lighthouse in refusing to sit down and face the truth, even just to have a conversation, but it’s another thing entirely to understand the pervasive moral and ethical problems brought forth by their behaviour. These commentaries, in my view, explain these and build on them really powerfully. Thank you for all the hard work that is going into them.
This is a really profound update and article. It speaks so categorically to the truth that Catrin Nye, the BBC and the production team of A Very British Cult aren’t willing to face, and therefore try to project the blame somewhere else without accepting full accountability. I appreciate Paul and everyone’s relentlessness in fighting for the truth and for what is right, in the face of the BBC Goliath. Thank you for everyone’s courage, tenacity and support. God bless x x
We have to ask, why won’t they sit down? It’s obvious because they know they have lied, and their lies will come out. If they knew they were telling the truth, they would accept the invitation.
You can’t accept what someone says to you as fact; you have to verify, and this is what the BBC did not do…
Truth should be bigger than all of us, and no institution should be so powerful that its account of events is beyond meaningful examination. If a claim is true, proper scrutiny should strengthen it; if it is false, proper scrutiny should expose it. That is what genuine accountability looks like to me, and I find the determination to keep the door open for truth, correction and reconciliation incredibly powerful.
