Why Didn’t Catrin Nye Show You What Paul’s Letter Actually Says?
Good evening, fellow citizens and brothers and sisters in Christ,
“For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.” — Luke 8:17 (NIV)
Catrin Nye told her social media audience that Paul S. Waugh had sent her a 6,000-word open letter. She described its length, its title and its reach.
But why did she not show them what it actually says?
Why did a journalist who champions reading the full material offer no substantive passage from the letter she was characterising?
And why direct viewers back to the BBC’s account while leaving Paul’s central challenge unseen?
Tonight’s commentary draws a decisive line between how the BBC controls the optics and facing the evidential truth.
If the letter is false, show where. If its challenge is unsound, answer it. If the BBC’s journalism can withstand examination, then open examination should strengthen, not threaten it.
All citizens should be trusted to read, examine and decide for themselves.

The simple question of why people were told about Paul’s letter without being shown what it actually says is incredibly powerful. People deserve the opportunity to read the evidence for themselves, rather than having someone else’s description of it shape their view before they have even seen it. I also love the challenge that if the letter is wrong, then show where it is wrong, and if the journalism can withstand proper examination, then surely openness should strengthen it rather than threaten it. But we know this isn’t the game they’re playing, rather a game filled with deceit. As they know allowing the public to actually read it will show them a very different take then they imagine. The public need the truth and it’s time to give it to them.
The fact that she hasn’t even read the entirety of the letter—otherwise, she undoubtedly wouldn’t have shared this message—yet continues to use it as a platform to promote the podcast and documentary is baffling to me.
I pray that God opens her eyes and that she comes to see the error of her ways. 🙏
Fascinating how the BBC and mainstream journalism operates. It really does make me wonder what else is left out of of our daily news. I’ve been researching the situation with Danny Thommo and the two tier policing e.g him not being granted bail while a paedophile is let out on bail to return to a flat near his victims is beyond evil.
It’s devastating for Catrin Nye and the BBC to even acknowledge what Paul S. Waugh has written in his open letter to her. It’s a very human letter, but it’s dismissed inhumanely by someone who’s tried to use her life-destruction work as a means to advance and promote her career. Why would Catrin Nye (or a substitute) come to the table to work out this problem that needs to be solve?!?
There is often a stark difference between what’s presented on social media and what the truth is.
Lying by omission to her audience is not new, but nevertheless disappointing. I think that containing the letter itself and dealing with its substance would be far too revealing of her wrongdoing
This shows again how the mainstream media, like the BBC, manipulates the facts, acting as though they are transparent, when the reality is that they pick and choose what they want to publish. This is far removed from objective journalism, and it is damning to realise why Catrin Nye didn’t share the content of Paul Waugh’s letter. Thank you for this commentary about the open letter to Catrin Nye.
So true that if The BBC are telling the truth, why not let us all examine the facts?
It sounds like she hasn’t read the full letter. She most likely read the title and worked out how many words, then just did her little social media post on that to get sympathy votes. If there was anything incriminating, she would have shown it. But there isn’t so she hasn’t.
