The Letter the BBC Cannot Ignore
Good day, fellow citizens and brothers and sisters in Christ,
Last Friday, Paul S. Waugh published “God Help You, Catrin Nye”—his first in a series of open letters to the BBC journalist at the centre of the deceptive, life-destructive hit piece A Very British Cult.
The letter is raw because it comes from the real human journey through years of diabolical Life Destruction. Despite the malicious intentions of those trying to destroy us, it is not written with malice. Paul explicitly condemns threats, harassment and harm against Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, their family or any other human being. He calls for peaceful, lawful accountability and leaves the door open to dialogue, repentance, correction, restitution, restoration and reconciliation.
Above all, the letter is a powerful insight into a real human journey and triumph in Christ: the ongoing confrontation of the BBC’s life-destructive tyranny without surrendering either truth or the souls of those responsible. Jesus Christ remains the governing authority because He is the Truth. Paul calls the BBC to face the truth, but he also places Lighthouse beneath the same standard of self-examination, responsibility and repentance.
We strongly encourage you to read the complete letter. Read Paul’s words in full and judge them for yourself.

The BBC Now Knows
This letter has had a huge impact inside the BBC. We have received extensive reports that it is being examined and taken very seriously from the very top of the organisation to the bottom.
No one at the BBC can now claim to be in the dark. From its leadership and boards to the journalists, producers, editors and staff beneath them, the institution knows that the production team behind A Very British Cult deceived millions of people globally through a life-destructive hit piece. The BBC knows that Lighthouse has documented approximately 140 falsehoods, omissions and distortions. It knows that the people whose lives were publicly defined by its programming are demanding a full evidential examination and a genuinely proportionate right of reply to correct the false public record.
How This Week’s Commentaries Built Upon the Letter
This week, we began drawing out the central challenges in “God Help You, Catrin Nye”—not as separate arguments, but as connected parts of one confrontation with truth, personal responsibility and the diabolical Life Destruction produced through institutional power.
Part One — When Citizens Sacrifice Citizens
We began with the human responsibility beneath the name of the BBC. Institutions do not investigate, select, omit, edit, accuse or broadcast by themselves; human beings make those choices. But this responsibility does not stop with journalists, producers and executives. Every citizen must decide whether we will condemn without hearing, repeat without verifying and sacrifice another human being on the altar of an institutionally manufactured woke narrative.
Part Two — Why Is the BBC Taking Us So Seriously Now?
We then asked why the BBC is finally taking this letter so seriously after years of resisting our evidence and denying us a meaningful right of reply. The real test is whether the BBC will now face the complete record, correct what is false and repair the diabolical Life Destruction it has caused—or merely manage the exposure while protecting the same false public record.
Part Three — Projection: When Life Destroyers Put Their Destruction on Their Target
Part Three examined projection: the pattern by which those producing Life Destruction place that very destruction upon their target, then reverse victim and offender. Yet this cannot become another means of locating all darkness in somebody else. If we at Lighthouse are serious about truth, we must submit ourselves to the same searching standard—testing criticism, confessing what is true and repenting, correcting and making restitution wherever required.
Part Four — Why Won’t You Sit Down and Face the Truth?
We have repeatedly invited Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, the BBC and their sources to bring their strongest claims into a fair, reciprocal examination against the complete evidence. Their refusal does not by itself prove every conclusion we have reached, but it keeps the BBC’s globally distributed account protected from the fullest available test. If the journalism is sound, why will those responsible not sit down and face the truth with us?
Part Five — Diabolically Controlling Optics Rather Than Facing the Truth
That question led directly to the control of optics. What happens when those who examined, exposed and publicly defined other human beings are themselves examined? The issue is not whether the BBC knows how to appear professional, compassionate and accountable. It is whether Catrin Nye and the institution behind her will surrender the protection of appearances, enter the light and choose truth, repentance and repair.
Part Six — Why Didn’t Catrin Nye Show You What Paul’s Letter Actually Says?
Catrin Nye’s Instagram video then demonstrated the very problem Part Five had examined. She referred to the title, length and distribution of Paul’s letter, yet showed her audience none of its substantive challenge: his condemnation of harassment and harm, his invitation to open evidential examination, the continuing offer of peaceful resolution and his concern for her as a human being, for her soul and for her journey to Christ. We therefore asked readers not to accept her account or ours, but to read the complete letter and judge its words for themselves.
Read together, these six commentaries move from the responsibility of each citizen to the responsibility of the BBC; from projection and the reversal of victim and offender to the refusal of reciprocal examination; and from the control of optics back to the complete letter itself. The governing appeal throughout is simple: come into the light, face the evidence and let truth—not power, appearances or personal victory—be the sole winner.

Given Paul’s longstanding ill health resulting from the multiple Establishment attacks on him, these updates are generated by the team, drawing from Paul’s recent and earlier words and what we are working with here at Lighthouse. We ask you to keep him in your prayers as he builds strength and renews in our Lord.

The BBC can stick their fingers in their ears and sing all they like, but they cannot ignore this forever. They may try to avoid it and have gone to great lengths to do so. But this letter, its commentaries and all subsequent letters are, in my view, a revolutionary and unwavering commitment to transparency. Until the BBC can rigorously and honestly deal with the subject of ANY complaints against them, the public will always know that their public broadcaster has cared more about its standing and its political and social agenda than it has the people it is claiming to inform, educate and entertain.
This is a really powerful bringing together of the whole series. What stands out to me most is the unwavering insistence that truth must be allowed to stand on its own, with the complete letter, the evidence and the same standard of examination available to everyone, including Lighthouse. That is what gives this such weight for me: it isn’t simply calling for the BBC to be held accountable, it is calling for everyone to come into the light and face whatever is actually true. No institution, reputation or carefully managed narrative should be more important than the truth, and I think that is a message worth standing firmly behind.
The truth will out!
Again and again, if The BBC are so sure about their reporting, why not share the contents of the letter to Catrin Nye? At least the questions and main points it raises if not the actual words?
Better yet, why not agree to a full and fair, unedited, live, in real time debate with full evidence from both sides? Why not examine the truth in the full light of day?
And why would Lighthouse, the accused ‘cult’, be the ones campaigning and chasing The BBC for the truth to be revealed and not The BBC chasing Lighthouse?
This is such a significant update to consolidate the open letter to Catrin Nye. The commentary series reveals how much depth and substance there is to the letter. It is very telling (but not surprising) that Catrin Nye cannot say more than the title and the number of words in the email.
If Catrin Nye was a genuine investigative journalist with a genuine fascination of her research topics along with a relentless pursuit of truth, then 1) A Very British Cult would not have been broadcast/would have been a very different story or 2) had A Very British Cult been broadcast, she would be deeply contrite and repentant for what she’s done to us and the public.
We keep praying for Catrin Nye and her family…
The BBC relies upon its victims being filibustered for years because they don’t have reach, until they give up. However they underestimate the tenacity that comes from knowing we have the truth.
The letter to Catrin Nye, together with its commentary articles, has so much depth that the BBC ignoring it would obviously show how biased they are, how much they’ve got to hide, and that they are not interested in the truth. The truth will always prevail, and their manipulation and lies will all come out, and they’ve got to deal with the consequences. God bless us all.
This is an incredibly powerful update, particularly ending with such an apt piece of Scripture that describes exactly what we are sharing above across these six parts.
Thank you for scrutinising the truth and falsehoods so rigorously and thoroughly, helping us to come to a deeper, truer and more complete understanding, as far as is possible in this lifetime, of what has actually gone on here with the BBC, Catrin Nye and the production team.
May God bless us all and have mercy on us all. 🙏
The BBC have a growing track record of not being willing to be held accountable to their own standards. Yet they will “investigate” (attack) others in the name of news. Far from impartial if they won’t ever examine themselves honestly and sincerely.
Truth cannot belong to one side, one institution or one narrative. What stands out most to me is the willingness to place Lighthouse under the same standard being demanded of the BBC, because that makes the call for accountability far more powerful. The insistence on reading the complete letter, examining the evidence and allowing people to judge for themselves is so important. Ultimately, no reputation, institution or carefully constructed narrative should be protected at the expense of truth. The truth must be allowed into the light, examined honestly and given the final word.
The week’s articles and updates have once again been very powerful and eye-opening. Once again, the BBC are avoiding responsibility, brushing things under the carpet as they did with the Savile case.
There is no contrition at the BBC. However, the truth is being told, and people are opening their eyes to what is going on. The record will be corrected.
Ignorance, ignoring, avoiding…none of these are blissful, peaceful or right. This week has been an exceptionally heavy blow for the BBC and Catrin Nye. Paul said the facts were coming and here they are!
