We’re sorry this one’s a little late — but it’s taken time, care, and a lot of research to do it justice.
Our latest article, You Are A Cultee In The Invisible Cult Of Modern Life, explores how indoctrination, conformity, and coercive control reach far beyond fringe cults. From families and schools to workplaces and the media, it examines how social conditioning, fear, and uncritical obedience quietly shape modern life.
The piece engages with Alexandra Stein’s work on cult psychology, asking whether her focus on identifying “dangerous groups” overlooks a deeper issue: that the cultee mentality—the human tendency to defer, conform, and obey without question—exists within all of us. What is a cult? A question that needs to be answered. Thank you for this update on bringing attention to this very subject because we have and are all part of a cult one way or another, and that is the cult of family.
Cohesive control is something that needs to be critically addressed. Who can honestly say they haven’t been manipulated or controlled in one way or another, either at home, at school or at work?

It shows not only the problem but also points towards solutions: helping us to see more clearly, to grow in awareness and choice, and to free ourselves from the cult-like influences that shaped us through our upbringing and wider society.
As Einstein said, “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
I know from my own experience how difficult it is to recognise this conditioning within ourselves, let alone make the changes needed to break free from it. So often we’re caught in the rat race, unable to see alternatives or a way out. Escaping cultish influence, in whatever form it takes, is never easy. Even those who claim to be experts, like Alexandra Stein, are lost and trapped in their own ideological thinking.
When we obey other human beings or man-made institutions without discernment, we become dependent and controllable. That’s why it’s so essential to seek understanding of who we truly are and of the Source of creation itself, so we can make conscious choices that align with truth and conscience.
Thank God for His creation, His guidance, and His patience with us all.

Talk about paradigm shifts from start to finish!
I loved what was shared about the real danger not being cults as organisations, primarily but the real danger being the universal human susceptibility to uncritical conformity and unquestioning obedience to authority! If we really take a close look at our childhoods, our employment, our day to day interactions, we can see how we conform so easily, we don’t question, we don’t critically think…we just accept without challenge or internal or external inquiry…and yet we believe we are free and make our own choices!
We have been duped by the likes of the BBC and they have had to try and destroy Paul and his reputation because he is exposing their nefarious agenda with evidenced education, eloquence and saliency!
God bless all of us who are awake and breaking free of the kingdom of darkness and its puppets, like the BBC and Alexandra Stein.

This really gets to the root of so many personal and societal issues, thank you for publishing the article. It not only shows the problem but also points towards solutions: growing in awareness, freedom, and discernment from the cult-like influences that shape us like our families or the education system.
A lot of pain and suffering is caused by being indoctrinated in these society cults and we need ways to break free from this conditioning.
For sure this will also create a lot of resistance as those in power don’t want to let go of their control. We have certainly experienced enough attacks through this work of breaking free from those constraints.

This article is a wake-up call. We tend to think “cults” are extreme, but subtle systems of control shape our daily lives—at work, online, even in our families. The “cultee” mindset—blind deference, fear of difference, uncritical obedience—makes it easy to follow without thinking. Freedom isn’t just leaving obvious control; it’s questioning norms, reclaiming our agency, and seeing who truly benefits from our compliance. We’ve certainly learnt a huge amount since. I pray that what we’re sharing will educate and prevent vulnerable people from becoming part of abusive cults by getting the upbringing they need in order to become a healthy growing adult with a thriving spirit, a compassionate heart and an inquiring mind….
As we have all fallen from grace, the environment now is primed for evil to manipulate and oh-so-subtly alter peoples awareness and obedience away from God and towards Satan. Like the magnet next to compass whole populations can be led astray just by teaching them to conform. Even without giving them something to conform to, just the mentality of being scared to be different, to question or raise a concern is enough to keep people in line.
There is so much evidence and explanation in this one article that explains why and how the public are deceived about Lighthouse and beyond us, deceived about their own human potential. I’ve seen and heard it in my own life, when someone has given up in their mind about a goal they have (had) before they have even tried to reach it.
What I see this article does is really dissect the nonsense and noise around what the media and ‘experts’ are saying and actually get down to what is real and true. It is so evil to subtly change a single detail and then reframe the whole picture to paint one person as a victim and another as the perpetrator, when the reality is the other way around. Yet journalists are told to do exactly that, and just for the facts to their truth and not the truth.
