Today’s Daily Opening Comment..
Good evening everyone.
Thank you for your ongoing prayers for Paul and for us all. The Lighthouse team continues to put these updates together as he takes the much needed space he needs to get well. Thank you as well for all of your supportive emails, messages and encouragement. It has been an eye opening week.. The light is getting brighter.. John 1:5
During this week, we intensified our legal and moral challenge against the UK Insolvency Service, asserting that the agency had acted unlawfully, dishonestly, and without due regard for evidence or human integrity. The daily updates document a transition from exposing individual misconduct (by specific officers such as Michael Bint) to understanding the issue as a systemic crisis — one involving institutional deceit, dereliction of duty, and an abuse of legal authority.
Our central message throughout the week is that false statements and omissions by key Insolvency Service officials has led to an unlawful arrest warrant for Lighthouse director Mr Shaun Cooper, despite proof that his absence from court was medically justified and previously communicated. When confronted, the Insolvency Service obscured facts, altered or misrepresented records, and failed to correct the public record — prompting Mr Cooper’s team to issue formal notices of institutional misconduct directly to the CEO, Alec Pybus, and senior government boards.
Core Findings
- Systemic Misconduct, Not Isolated Error
What may have appeared as a false statement or a mistake in a court transcript evolved into a demonstration of patterned behaviour — officials misleading courts, ignoring evidence, and closing ranks to protect the institution.
2. Breakdown of Legal Integrity
The issue as a whole is a failure of candour — where those entrusted to uphold justice instead used their position to deceive the judiciary and damage citizens’ reputations.
3. Institutional Evasion and Silence
The Insolvency Service’s responses (or lack thereof) is emblematic of bureaucratic arrogance — responding with form letters and procedural deflection rather than truth and accountability.
4. Judicial Complicity or Neglect
We questioned the court’s own role — highlighting irregularities in transcripts, overlooked evidence, and apparent judicial indifference to factual corrections.
5. Escalation to Reform and Public Accountability
Our strategy has evolved over time from an internal complaint and going through official channels to public exposure and reform advocacy when those channels have failed, linking the case to our wider citizen-driven movement — Citizen Intervention Global — which calls for transparency and moral leadership in governance.
The Moral of These Interventions
At its heart, this week’s updates were about truth versus power, integrity versus bureaucracy, and personal courage versus institutional deceit.
- Truth must outlive manipulation. Our position is that when official systems lie or hide, ordinary citizens have both the right and the moral duty to confront them.
- Leadership requires candour, not cover-ups. The failure of senior officials to take responsibility is the root rot of institutional decay.
- Faith, conscience, and moral law outweigh procedural law. We have drawn an implicit moral line between man-made systems that can be corrupted and the higher laws of truth and justice that cannot.
- Public accountability is spiritual accountability. Confronting corruption is not only a civic act but also a moral and spiritual one — an expression of conscience and integrity.
In Summary
The week’s “Court and Legal Updates” tell a larger story of how we are refusing to accept institutional corruption disguised as process, and asserting that moral authority must prevail over legal technicality.
They reveal a pattern: when institutions meant to uphold justice instead perpetuate deceit, the fight for truth moves beyond the courtroom — into the public square, the conscience, and the moral life of a nation.

Through this whole experience with the Insolvency Service I am seeing why people don’t stand up to the likes of the Insolvency Service. They are the living embodiment of tyranny (ie abuse of power). I can imagine that staff and investigators have a huge power trip from following their directions without question.
To be clear… we need authority and governance to ensure we live with order in a just and fair society.
However, when there are people in positions of power who are simply unwilling and unable to look at themselves, their imperfection and their sin (missing the mark of perfection), then there absolutely needs to be citizen intervention.
As citizens we are in a very dangerous and vulnerable position when we do not have the ways, means and fortitude to point out mistakes and abuse of power in those employed by the public and paid for by the taxpayer for the purposes of serving the public and the public’s interest. It’s distinctly unrighteous to follow someone solely because they have a certain job title or work for a certain organisation (whether it’s the Insolvency Service or indeed Lighthouse!). Ultimately we ought to be obedient to The Truth and the God-given laws that govern this Universe we exist in.
All human beings are fallen sinners and we’re flawed as a result. I appreciate the humility that Christian faith brings… whilst seeing the hubristic pride and lack of compassion in those working for the Insolvency Service claiming to be working in the public interest.
What is most concerning is they believe themselves to be untouchable, not because they operate in perfect ways, but because they are delegated powers by the Secretary of State… a role seems to have a new face in it every time you look.
I pray for these tyrants to repent, accept responsibility and make things right… like any decent adult and citizen would do. Why is this so hard for them that we have to go to all this effort to start new organisations and initiatives to help them see that?!?
Power! Love the sumary and clarity with it. Thank you. What really stands out is the transition from personal, internal pursuit of justice, to the public exposure of corruption and systemic failure. The thoroughness, the willingness to question, connect the dots and realise the problem is systemic, not individual. There’s a message for everyone: you don’t have to fight this by yourself and you don’t need to surrender to the bureaucratic barriers. We can fight injustice together, through Citizen Intervention Global. God bless, and God protect all involved.
I value how the individual points have been separated, enabling us to understand what is happening. What the IS are doing to Shaun, how they are treating him, is tyrannical. What I value about these updates is how they are highlighting the key points of what Shaun is now addressing with those in authority.
This reinforces that through interdependence and love, working together, we can and will fight the tyranny that is within organisations like the Insolvency Services

While I had every sympathy for the Insolvency Service when they were charged with reclaiming the billions unaccounted for in relation to the Covid bounce back loan fiasco, they should be working on that and reclaiming billions of tax payer money, not wasting more of it on innocent people doing pioneering work.
Growing up watching all the spy films and action movies, I got the impression that large government agencies were full of people who were alert, disciplined, intelligent and fearless in fighting for truth and justice, with a healthy human spirit at heart.
But no.
No, that’s not how government agencies actually work. They don’t fight evil tyranny with honour and fortitude, in fact they have become the very example of how the bad guys in films always operate. They are the ones lying to keep their jobs, they are the ones who steal billions every year from the population in pseudo taxes and fines, and they are the ones who are wasting countless more billions in covering up their own inadequacy and mistakes with more lies.
When any organisation or person makes a mistake, admit it, amend it and move on. We are all human, and actually having that institutional moral backbone and awareness to admit errors would build public trust with them much more than trying to keep up the appearance of ‘holier than thou’.
What stands out to me is the courage to name tyranny for what it is, not out of bitterness, but out of a genuine desire for justice and reform. It shows the danger that arises when authority forgets its true purpose: to serve the people, not itself.
I appreciate how this article connects the personal experience of injustice with the wider systemic failure that affects so many. It’s a reminder that while institutions may lose their moral compass, individuals, through humility, faith, and truth, can help steer things back towards righteousness. It’s our responsibility to act on this and to remain vigilant, courageous, and anchored in truth.
