Today, Lighthouse Associates Kris Deichler, Jatinder Kamra and Sukh Singh were sentenced to 200 hours of community service by Judge Susan Holdham in the Stratford Magistrate’s court, along with costs to be paid to the Crown Prosecution Service and victim surcharge. No compensation to Catrin Nye was ordered by the judge. This concludes the proceedings at Stratford Magistrates’ Court for the allegation brought by BBC journalist Catrin Nye against the three men, of harassment without violence.
The three Lighthouse Associates are in the process of appealing this conviction to be reheard at the Crown Court. This will mean:
- All defendants, complainants and witnesses will be called to give testimony and be cross examined.
- Both the prosecution and the defence are allowed to call new witnesses.
- New evidence can be called.
- The trial will be heard by a Crown Court judge sitting with two lay magistrates.
We are extremely grateful for all the support and prayers for our three brothers in Christ from everyone, and most of all thankful to God for His guidance and protection. We hope for a different outcome for Kris, Jatinder and Sukh at the Crown Court. They will be able to present the full facts and evidence to ensure their account of these events is revealed to the public.

Really appreciate the update that’s presenting what’s happened and what’s to come.
I’m praying for my brothers as they embark on this process of appeal. I pray also for all involved… the rest of us at Lighthouse, the lawyers (prosecution and defence), the judge as well as Catrin Nye and Jamie Bartlett as complaints and their family.
I pray for God’s glory to be revealed in what’s to come and that Christian constructive love to be demonstrated through our conduct. I pray for the greater Body of Christ who we are calling on for prayers and support in whatever way is possible.
