This open letter below has been sent to Tim Davie, who resigned as Director General from the BBC yesterday (Sunday 9th November 2025) along with Deborah Turness as CEO of BBC News.
To Acting BBC Director-General Tim Davie,
Following your resignation as BBC Director General and Deborah Turness as CEO of BBC News, I—Paul S. Waugh—now call on you, Mr Davie, to insist that Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, Ravin Sampat and Natalie Truswell from the maliciously defamatory A Very British Cult resign as well.
Your resignation, Mr Davie, is part of the larger house of cards that is collapsing—it was not only inevitable, but anticipated, because a house divided against itself cannot stand. We called for your resignation a long time ago, following scandal after scandal, lie after lie, controversy after controversy, since our first published open letter to you in April 2024. You now walk away in disgrace from one of the most sought after jobs in Britain, leaving only further doubt over the true state of this sinking ship, the BBC.
These four individuals—Ms Nye, Mr Bartlett, Mr Sampat and Ms Truswell—know full well that they are guilty of the same scandal which now marks your exit, Mr Davie. What these individuals have done to us, on your watch, is hundreds of times worse than the recent scandal involving the doctoring of the Donald Trump speech footage. Along with 140+ falsehoods, what this team did is EXACTLY the same as what Panorama did to Donald Trump—sliced and moved around statements to make us look bad and dangerous. As licence fee payers and members of the British public that these four individuals answer to, it is time for them to step down.
Their criminal behaviour is set out clearly in our upcoming Open Letter to President Donald Trump—not only concerning you, but also these four BBC staff members in particular, along with the rest of their team and their maliciously false sources.
The BBC has been central to the tyrannical attacks on free speech in the UK and the weaponisation of the media against ideological and political opponents. You are the organisation the Reddites (Predatory Online Trolls, also your sources)—who began their toxic and malicious smear and hate campaign against us almost five years ago—trusted and relied upon to spread lies and hate.
We have called, time and again, for the BBC and others—such as the Insolvency Service, which again those same Reddites trusted and were manipulated through—to do the right thing: to investigate the original falsehoods upon which all this slander was built. Yet they have consistently refused. It is now time that you, Mr Davie, call a full and comprehensive investigation to be finally conducted into these Reddites and what they did to us, online and in the media—the very investigation that the BBC ought to have done in the first place!
One of the current weapons of the woke left is to smear their enemies as “cult leaders” and “cults.” It’s the same tactic they’ve used against President Trump, and it’s exactly what they’ve done to me and my brothers and sisters at Lighthouse. They try to portray President Trump as a dangerous cult figure—linking him to QAnon and framing him as a violent, malevolent leader plotting a mass uprising against the establishment. They’ve been attempting to do the same to me simply because I have been conducting research—through great time, money, and effort—into human potential and helping people grow up, stand strong together, and resist a tyrannical establishment that keeps people infantilised and institutionalised. It is this very establishment that the BBC upholds—one that has irreparably damaged public trust in the British media.
The BBC is now being exposed not only for broadcasting lies but for actively participating in their fabrication—deceit designed to silence opponents and attack the forced-licence-fee-paying British public rather than inform, educate, and advocate for them. This is Christian persecution in the West—slander against God’s people disguised as journalism by the anti-Christ cult that is the BBC.
Therefore, in addition to these resignations, I call for there to be an immediate investigation into all the documentaries and programmes made during your tenure where the same tactics deployed against President Trump and myself have been deployed against others. It will be present in all of them, it’s just to what degree!
It is time that all their wrongdoing is unearthed, once and for all. It is time for these individuals to resign and follow your long-overdue example. However, your act, Mr Davie, is in no way virtuous. In fact, it is desperately cowardly—you are fully aware of the extent of what has been concealed, and the consequences are now inevitable.
Time was not on your side, and it will certainly not be on theirs either.
This is why we are launching the BBC Class Action — a collective claim by the very people the BBC has exploited and deceived: the forced licence fee payers of the United Kingdom. We will no longer pay to be misled. We do not owe the BBC our hard-earned money — you owe us. This class action against the BBC, and both past and present employees, could not be more timely.

A fantastic and impactful letter, thank you! The BBC, Tim Davie, Catrin Nye and everyone involved in the slander of Paul and all involved in the doctoring of Mr Trump’s speech….you underestimate God and His power, might, justice and you underestimate the tenacity and strength of the people here at Lighthouse you attempted to destroy! Time is not the friend of anyone who bears false witness against their neighbour….you will be and have been found out! God hates lying tongues and haughty eyes (pride) and even when Mr Davie made his resignation public, he still tried to stand proudly in defence of the BBC and laud its character! Wow!
Since Mr Davie chose to ignore the many calls from us and others to reform, it’s now been taken out of his hands as it ought to be. It is now time for Catrin Nye and every one of her team who do not respect the honour of delivering information and truth to a trusting public, to not only resign from the BBC but also find another sector to work in. They cannot and will not be trusted as we continue to reveal more and more of the truth of what they have done to Paul and to every one of us here! Please pray with us for those who have attacked us and please pray for us as we continue in our work.

I’ve also heard nothing about the panorama team that smeared Trump. They must be on their way out as well?!!
Yes, very true. If they can get away with it they will!!! That’s why we’re essentially force to create a citizen lead intervention organisation to stop these people getting away with this wrongdoing!!
I appreciate how direct and cleanly this letter lays out who and why must now resign in a first wave of reform at the BBC.
What I felt when I learnt about Davie resigning was a mix of recognition that justice might be done with him getting some much needed consequences for his actions, but also a feeling of ‘don’t let this be the end of it’.
Losing their jobs would not the just outcome that I feel is needed in this situation and a simple resignation of a few people is too simple a solution to the inherent issues within the BBC.
It would not be justice if these few resign, and then it’s back to business as usual.
I agree that every documentary in recent times needs to be reviewed, lessons noted and compensation paid out because an injustice, is an injustice and needs to be rectified.
Then those lessons learnt and implemented by the incoming Director General so that the BBC finally becomes the trustable organisation we all thought it was.
Paul, you have been horrifically treated by these foul and treacherous people.
Donald Trump is threatening a suit of $1billion for the damage caused to him and you are very close behind him because of the level of smears against you where you do not yet have the same reach as President Trump. The death threats, the abuse, the attacks, the libel and slander against you has been outrageously unfair and biased – just like what the media has been doing to Trump. The same libel and slander that the world started to wake up to during last November’s election in particular.
I often compare Trump and yourself Paul, because like Trump, there is so much benevolence and so much good you do that never ever gets broadcast. But these radical ideologues will take one thing you say (from stolen recordings) place it out of context and make that out like that’s who you are. And it’s not who you are! And it’s not who Trump is either!
I certainly no longer believe anything the media, in particular the BBC, tell me about Trump in the same way that I am not going to listen to what the BBC and the media try to tell me about you when I know you personally and you have helped, supported and encouraged me so much.
So you are right – the time has come for all those associated with AVBC, the Trump “Panorama” and all these other propaganda disasters to be fully exposed and step down. Gone are the days now where the BBC backs itself and gaslights the public that they are impartial and doing nothing wrong. We are NOT falling for it anymore.
Flitting call for their professional heads to roll! What was done to Lighthouse and Paul Waugh was far worse than what has ever been done to President Trump. What the BBC has done is deeply callous and heinous. Remember, their attack led to two people considering suicide and untold harm and suffering of many, many people. Again, worse than Donald Trump.
Those BBC employees can easily be shown to have created a campaign targeting Lighthouse and Paul Waugh as so-called ‘easy targets,’ willingly sacrificing us in the process. They don’t care whether we live or die – they’re just ‘doing their job.’
This is the seat of evil. Calling for their resignation isn’t a light or reactive thing; it’s a necessary response for reform and justice that is sincerely needed.
This feels like an incredibly timely and providential moment for us, and for the BBC, in light of the journey we’ve all been on over these past three-plus years. Tim Davie’s resignation, as Paul rightly said, isn’t an act of virtue but of cowardice — as so many in that industry and in government tend to do. Rather than take full responsibility and accountability for what’s happened under his tenure, he slips away as though that’s acceptable. Meanwhile, the victims of the crimes that occurred under his leadership — by staff he was accountable for — are left unjustified, unreconciled, and uncompensated.
It’s a shame on him and on the organisation as a whole. The BBC is long overdue for reform — whether through complete closure or through serious redress and restructuring from the top down.

If the BBC believes that, following Tim Davie’s resignation, they can simply carry on as before, they are mistaken.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. I appreciate Paul’s open letter to Tim Davie and his call for the resignation of other BBC staff involved in similar smear campaigns, such as those behind the so-called documentary “A Very British Cult.”
The truth will come out, and their lies will be exposed. The BBC is in desperate need of serious reform, otherwise, it should be shut down immediately.

This is significant! What the BBC’s reaction has shown through this whole affair is…
1 The BBC values reputation and brand above truth and substance.
2 The BBC doesn’t actually care about or respect the everyday citizen of the UK.
3 In its hubris the BBC thinks it could get away with manipulating audios and videos to the extent that it completely shifts an audience’s view of reality and truth.
4 The BBC still doesn’t actually think it’s done anything wrong. There is a culture that believes what it does to destroy people’s lives and livelihoods is okay.
The examples of Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, Natalie Truswell and Ravin Sampat show that there’s an unrepentant, degenerate culture at the BBC. Not only have they ignored our efforts to ensure there was a comprehensive right to reply to all false claims made against us, they mocked them! They mocked truth, they mocked facts, they mocked full context and they mocked reality. Essentially this is mocking God.
Well… history and scripture show that for those who try to take on God, there can only be one winner! He is the ultimate Judge and that’s not changing based on what we choose to believe, what we like and what’s convenient to us.
Meanwhile in the short term, what this is showing is that the only way the BBC will actually just consider truly reforming is if it is held accountable to multi-billion dollar lawsuits and/or the Government seriously deciding not to renew its Charter. A billion dollar lawsuit is just in relation to one man (President Donald Trump) and his life. What’s been done to us at Lighthouse is FAR WORSE. That’s before we get to all the others affected.
The British public needs to stand together in a class action in its millions to hold the BBC accountable and ensure there’s reform, not superficial PR statements that seek to appease whilst maintaining the status quo as they have for the last century.

The lies of the BBC are being exposed; their latest is against President Donald Trump. Did they really think they could get away with that? You can only lie so many times before you are exposed and caught out.
I pray that whoever takes over Mr Davie’s position will take this seriously and insist on the BBC to reform, starting with the resignations of Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, Ravin Sampat, and Natalie Truswell, as well as anyone else involved in the 140+ lies against Paul Waugh and the Lighthouse team.
This also includes the resignations of the Panorama team involved in the blatant cut-and-paste farce of President Trump.
The BBC will cover it up with some other non-sense and then Ofcom will come in with the smoke and mirrors and state it is within editorial guidelines. Rotten to the core.
Reprobates, the lot of them. They should not just resign, they should be charged for crimes against the British public and pay for the crimes for the rest of their living lives.
