This open letter to Christian Hacking is the first in a series of open letters calling for his repentance.

Mr Hacking,
We write this letter as an earnest appeal: repent.
In short, repent of bearing the name of Jesus Christ—calling yourself a Christian (even a “servant of Christ” as a journalist)—while using that name to harm the Body of Christ.
At the same time, we speak to our true blue brothers and sisters: learn from this example of what not to do, and see again what the Body of Christ desperately needs—defenders of the faith and the faithful.
In this letter, we will share one of the many audio recordings Paul S. Waugh sent you to add personal, relational, experiential weight to what you have repeatedly ignored and rejected.

- Christian Hacking presented himself to Lighthouse Global as a “very amateur” independent Christian journalist, and we initially aimed to support him as a brother or sister in Christ.
- Lighthouse later concluded that Hacking had a vested interest in demonising us through toxic framing, needing Lighthouse to appear as a “cult” and Paul S. Waugh as a “cult leader”, despite what is extensive contrary evidence.
- We believe this framing served Hacking’s amateur journalistic ambitions by creating a sensational “big scoop”, even if misleading, at our and Paul’s expense.
- Due to Hacking’s deceptive intent, lack of professionalism, and limited audience or reach, we decided we could not work with Hacking.
- Hacking sent Paul a set of 150 questions. These questions were biased, cynical, self righteous, and prosecutorial, demanding answers, despite Paul stating (26 Jan 2026, via audio message) that we could not work with Hacking.
- At minimum this is a petty vendetta, and possibly signs of being a “media plant” connected to the BBC. Both Hacking and Hacking’s father David have praised the BBC.
- If Hacking is smearing Christian communities as “cults” for personal agenda rather than genuine investigation, it must be challenged, hence our case study and linking it to the “Judas Syndrome” educational series.
- This issue is larger than one individual. It is part of a wider, orchestrated “Establishment” strategy to brand close knit communities, and even businesses or parties, as alleged cults to control narratives and ostracise opposition.
The Pharisaic Syndrome
“The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses; therefore all that they tell you, do and keep, but do not do according to their deeds; for they say things and do not do them. And they tie up heavy burdens and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as a finger.” — Matthew 23:2-4
In Jesus’ day, the Pharisees and scribes positioned themselves as self-righteous, self-inflating religious teachers.
They pronounced harsh, scolding judgment on God’s people.
They lived as hypocrites.
Mr Hacking, in our experience, you have fallen into the same doctrine-obsessed, legalistic, outward-judging, self-deceiving trap.
You have treated yourself as fit to judge Christians on the validity of their faith and personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yes—every Christian has judged others self-righteously at times. But you insist on trying to build a career (and profit) by doing it.
In other words, while we all have hypocritical tendencies, you hypocritically have abused Christians to enrich yourself by masquerading as an angel of light.
Why Paul S. Waugh Could No Longer Work With You
On the 2nd February 2026, Paul sent you this audio through Lighthouse Associate, Sukh Singh.
- Preceding this audio, Paul had sent you extensive audios detailing the reality of the satanic, deceptive and cultish reality of the BBC —appealing to you to do extensive due diligence before investigating any further.
- You ignored these audios and proceeded to send Paul 150 cynical, biased, prejudicial, prosecutorial and deeply invasive questions.
- Paul proceeded to explain to you why he and Lighthouse Global could not work with you.
Transcript of Paul’s First Audio Message to Christian Hacking
Hello Christian,
Just a very quick one. Sorry about today. I just wanted to have a little chat to show you some courtesy, really, with the effort you put in.
I sent you those clips, and they were quite long. I wanted to explain as much as I could. I must be honest, I was somewhat surprised that you sent those questions through before you listened to them. I think that, especially if you listened to the second recording, the last one I sent you, you would know it was very comprehensive. I don’t think you would have sent those questions, or even spent the time doing them.
If you listen to that recording about the questions, there’s nothing there that would ruffle one feather. There’s nothing there that concerns me, that I can’t answer, that I’m not comfortable with, or that I don’t have evidence for. I have evidence for every possible answer related to those questions.
There is no issue here.
The issue really is getting someone professional, with a reputation, credibility, and reach. There are no questions relating to our reputation or our work moving forward that I’m not prepared to answer. It’s about answering them to the right person, with the right reach, credibility, and reputation. That’s what I’m looking for.
I really need to give somebody that scoop that we’re now going to go out and look for, not having given it to someone else who doesn’t have that reach, expertise, professionalism, or anything like that.
As you say, you’re an amateur journalist. This is not an amateur job for an amateur. It just isn’t. This is our reputation, our future, our work in the Lord, our work with people. This is our reputation, our futures, and our families. We just can’t afford to get this wrong.
It has to be right.
That’s the first thing.
A Personal Appeal to Defend the Faith and the Faithful — by Paul S. Waugh
In the same audio, Paul did more than describe the opportunity before you as a Christian journalist: he appealed to you and prayed for you as a Christian brother (something you never offered in return, nor had the love to initiate, which we will cover in a further letter).
Portions of this audio have been removed for legal reasons to protect an ongoing live court case.
- In this second part, Paul appealed to you to become something that the Body of Christ desperately needs: journalists who are defenders of the faith to support their cause.
- Paul was not implying or asking you or anyone to blindly support other Christians.
- Paul was addressing a very serious situation faced by Christians on the frontline of spiritual, ideological, reputational, religious and socio-political war, such as Paul and Lighthouse Global.
- There is a need for Christian journalists who prioritise Christian love and truth first, rather than trying to get the “big scoop” by turning their brothers and sisters into a mere story or headline for their own personal gain.
- Or as you would term it, “limelight chasing”.
Transcript of Paul’s Second Audio Message to Christian Hacking
The second thing, in terms of answering questions, is that you seem to imply to Sukh that I’m concerned about answering these questions. I’m really not. You need to get that right, and I’ll prove that to you.
I’ll tell you what you do. Go and organise this. Maybe you know someone behind the scenes. You probably don’t, and you probably won’t be able to do this, but why don’t you go and ask the BBC to do what we’ve asked them?
We’ve asked them to give us the live, same time, the same money, the same effort, and the same resources that they gave to Reddites and the falsehoods they sponsored to the BBC, which the BBC then used for propaganda purposes. Allow us full time, full effort, full resources, time, money, and effort in order to produce the answers and the evidence.
They rejected the evidence. They rejected our evidence. They rejected an interview with me on that basis. I have the evidence for that. We have emails for that.
My problem isn’t answering questions. My problem is not being able to answer questions in the right place, to the right people, with the right reach and the right resources. That’s my problem. That’s our problem here.
At the end of the day, they cannot face us. They cannot even offer me a ten-minute interview to have my say because they know they’re in the wrong.
I don’t have a problem with answering questions. I have a problem with people giving me the space, the time, the resources, and the opportunities, having made these statements as a licence fee payer for 25 years. This is my problem. This is what I’m dealing with.
And 150 questions you’ve sent through—it’s an enormous amount of time. It’s affecting my health. I mean, I’m absolutely reeling with my health at the moment. I’m really struggling.
I just want you to know this. I want you to understand it’s no disrespect to you. We have our own interests, and who we work with is our choice. We need to choose the right person to do this job.
You asked Sukh if you could cover the trial, and he said, “Yes, please do that.” Then you’ve gone from that to this. This is a big leap.
I have tried to accommodate that, and I have looked at it, but I’ve also realised that there are going to be many amateur journalists, citizen journalists, and small independents coming to help and wanting to do this. I just can’t deal with that.
We’re going to put it all on the website, as I said in the recording, but we’ve really got to choose who we speak to very, very carefully and do the right thing.
In the meanwhile, we’re still working hard on the BBC for them to do their job. They talk about impartiality. That’s what they need to be: impartial. They haven’t been. It’s a propaganda hit piece, provably, and we have evidence for every single thing they’ve said.
Eventually, we’ll have completed the documentary we’re doing. We are now bringing out The Lighthouse. If we can’t get someone else to do this job, there’s no one actually better than us to do it. No one. No one better than us.
In the meanwhile, let me say this to you in closing. Let me give you some advice, if my advice to you is worth anything.
The brothers need someone like you, and many other Christian journalists and citizen journalists who are Christians, not to take a prosecutorial approach. They need people to come along and say, “I want to back you. I want to help you. I really hope you’re not a cult. I really hope you’re not this person that the media have implied that you are.”
There are a lot of brothers on the front line like me who are being attacked. What we really need, Christian, are people like you to come along and champion us. To say, “Oh my God, Paul, I really hope that you aren’t this guy they say you are. I really, in my heart of hearts, hope that isn’t true.”
I’m not saying you’re doing this, but not, “I hope this is a great story for me, and that this guy is exactly what they say he is.”
At the end of the day, we are looking for people who are not going to play a satanic prosecutorial role, but an angelic defending role—defending the faith and defending the faithful. That is what we’re looking for.
Someone who comes to me and says, “Paul, I want to back you. I want to help you. I want to look at the facts. I want to look at the evidence you have. I want to look at what you’ve got. I want to be involved. I want to help you. Let’s work on this together.”
That’s what I’m looking for.
Someone who wants to defend the brothers. You talk about impartiality. I’m not looking for impartiality. I’m looking for defence. I’m looking for somebody to say, “Paul, show me the truth. I want to talk about it. Show me your evidence. Show me what you would do if the BBC gave you full time, money, effort, and resources. What would you do with that?”
That’s what I’m looking for—not to go through a whole BBC thing with you. We’ve been through that.
I think there’s a huge place for you. You’re not making much money. I think you’re very dependent on the state, your family, or whatever it is, and it’s a terrible position you’re in, brother. I’m sorry. What you’re going through is awful.
But I’d just like to say this to you. You’ve got a real niche here: go out into the brotherhood and say, “Please let me help. Let me look at the facts. Let me look at the reasons.”
If people need to repent, or where we need to repent, encourage that. Make that public. Show the repentance. Say, “Pray for us.” Do it in the article. Do it on a video. Pray with us. Pray for us. Work for the brothers.
It’s about love.
Do you know what it says in the Bible? It says in John 13:35, and it’s on my screensaver: “If you have love amongst yourselves.” People will know that we are God’s people, that we are with God, and that God is with us if we have that love—that self-sacrificing love, that constructive love, that love between brothers.
That’s what we need here. Not cold objectivity, but warm objectivity. Caring objectivity.
Where there’s wrongdoing, it needs to be made right. People need another chance. That’s where you need to be.
We’re not those people. We don’t have that problem, not with what they’ve accused us of.
At the end of the day, that’s what the body needs. The body needs people who will defend the faith and defend the faithful. That’s part of the biblical charter, for want of a better term.
We need that love. We need that care.
When I think of Christian Hacking, I don’t think of a loving, caring brother defending the faith and the faithful. I think of someone searching my faith, searching to see where I am in my heart about the Lord, God, Jesus Christ, atonement, penitence, contrition, and love.
That’s what the body is missing. That’s what people are missing. That’s what I need to feel from you.
For me to trust you and work with you, I would need that. If I had the time, and it was the right thing to do, and you were professional enough and had the reach, the first thing I’d be looking for is whether Christian Hacking is a loving, caring brother and a defender of the faith and the faithful.
That’s what we need, not another brother running around playing legacy media, corporate media, and BBC games.
We really need someone to come in and do a great job for the brotherhood.
Let me put that to you to think about. If you want to have a talk about that in the future, or for me to be involved in working with you on something like that, I’m really happy to do that. I’m happy to help you with resources as we move forward, slowly but surely.
We don’t have many resources now. This has come at great expense and with great debt that we’re building right now. Five years with our income being destroyed. We had to get to that point to be able to get through this problem, fund these interventions, and continue to work like this.
So I shall leave that with you, and please speak to Sukh. I’m not closing doors completely with you, but for the foreseeable future, we are taking a different approach.
Lots of love, brother.
Father, just a prayer for Christian and a prayer for his family.
Father, this brother, your son, your child, your warrior, needs guidance, needs love, and needs direction. He also needs money. Please help our brother to serve the body in a way that helps the body and helps him on a win-win basis.
The body is desperate. There are people on the front lines, Father, who are being attacked relentlessly and ruthlessly by the media, government agencies, and the establishment.
What we need are journalists to come around and start working, especially Christian journalists, to work with us. We need brothers on the front line to be supported, loved, cared for, and to be part of the process of atonement where that needs to happen. To be part of teaching the lessons of why that atonement was needed and the mistakes that were made.
This is all important. It’s a whole attitude towards this that needs to change.
So, Father, we ask you this, and we thank you for your love. We ask you to forgive our many sins and shortcomings through your Son, Jesus Christ’s name.

Mr Hacking, Paul made this very, very clear to you.
The Body of Christ does not need individuals parading as Christian journalists while—knowingly or unknowingly—tearing down the very brotherhood and sisterhood for the sake of a glamourised gossip column.
You have admitted that:
- You love chasing the limelight and picking fights
- You deliberately used a “clickbait” title to try to “go viral”
Your motive is clear: you want the hits.
You are not serving Christ.
You are using His name to gain popularity and an audience.
That is what we urge you to repent of.
This is not about Lighthouse Global.
This is not about Paul.
This is about you choosing to bear the name of Christ and—wilfully or not—abusing it.
And you have used the Body of Christ as well, betraying trust in the process.
Deceptive Angel of Light or Defender of the Faith?
You once wrote an article about Tommy Robinson—someone who, whatever a reader’s conclusions about him, has been on the frontline claiming to protect children, women, and UK citizens.
He separated from his family for safety.
He endured solitary confinement and severe pressure.
And yet, in self-righteous wisdom and so-called piety, you titled your piece “Brother or Bother”.
You also wrote an article, despite warnings and advice from Sukh Singh not to, alleging Lighthouse Global is a cult and Paul S. Waugh is a cult leader.
Mr Hacking, who gave you the authority to pronounce such judgment over men and women you do not even know—people you have not even tried to know?
You do not have the character, competence, or experience to ask such questions responsibly as a journalist, never mind a so-called Christian one, let alone to supply opinion-based, subjective “woke” verdicts to your readers.
In all seriousness, where did you get this entitled and inflated perception of yourself? Is this what happens when you are born into a top-tier Establishment family with ancestry in the Masonic cult? No matter how much false humility you project, you reveal yourself again and again.
“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” — Mark 2:17
Rather than asking whether Tommy Robinson is a bother or a brother in Christ, ask the necessary and appropriate question: who are you?
- Have you come to build the Body of Christ—defend it, support it, and yes, love it? (Galatians 6:2)
- Or do you parade as an angel of light, promising to guide the Body of Christ in the name of Christ while you chase viral hits? (Jude 1:4)
- Why do you focus on the sins of others (both real and fabricated) at the expense of your own? (Matthew 7:3-5)
Our Call to Repent
“When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child. When I became a man, I did away with childish things.” — 1 Corinthians 13:11
Mr Hacking, if you want to bear the name of Christ, then we urge you to examine your prejudices and biases.
We have made clear before on several occasions, how obvious your bias and adoration of your father is, which has muddied your vision and perspective on reality.
We can see at least what appears to be some concessionary steps in you shutting down your Substack profile, so you are no longer at immediate risk of repeating the same kind of heinous mistakes.
But shutting down a profile and operating under a pseudonym is not repentance, and it is not learning—it is hiding in the shadows.
We appeal to you to examine yourself honestly: why do you love the limelight, and why do you love picking fights, as you say?
We also appeal to you to look inside your soul and face what is missing. As you wrote in a draft last year in relation to our Lighthouse Global family,
“in my quieter moments I’ve envied their fellowship, their submission, their shared struggle, their resolve for truth, and questioned whether I was somehow missing out on a life deeper and richer than the one I now live.”
We believe, and you know, that you are missing much, Mr Hacking. And we want you to receive what you lack—to grow up in Christ into maturity, and to become a genuine defender of the faith and the faithful.
Finally, we strongly urge you to get help.
Seek sound, Biblical counselling.
Pursue mentorship, coaching, and wisdom.
You have told us you strongly resist being mentored—but the right people in your life would help you greatly.
Stop worshipping your father.
Find a strong male Christian mentor.
One who won’t buy into your passive-aggressive predatory antics, which ultimately lead to you playing the victim when you are held accountable.
At this time, we do not believe that we can help you directly, because even where you realise you need help, you are too diabolically proud to receive it.
However, if you ever do reach out, we will love and support you—and indeed anyone who has attacked or tried to destroy us—as our Lord commands, by His perfect example, when He gave His life for us while we were in enmity with Him.

Wow. This is very firm, strong, and clear, while being very loving, caring and upbuilding. Whatever I think of Mr Hacking is not relevant, what matters most is Christian Hacking’s relationship with God, and I value that this letter has focused on that as the core call to repent. This is not a subjective issue, there is objective truth and reality here calling someone who claims to be a brother in Christ, to build his relationship with Jesus Christ. I don’t know if he will read this letter with open eyes and an open heart, but the record has been laid out very very clearly. Thank God He is real that this work is even possible.
What an incredibly loving appeal to Mr Hacking, and amen to the final statement.
While we are all in a battle with pride and various other things that are clearly at enmity with God, I pray that Christian seeks the right help and support, and comes to know Christ truly as the self-sacrificial Saviour He is. Amen.

It’s clear Mr Hacking has, in trying to act as the World acts, in trying to compete in the World on the World’s terms, rather than obeying and serving Christ and yet while claiming the name of Christ, that he was always going to come to this. Why would Christ bless and support anyone who is, in using His name, running with the sheep and hunting with the wolves. We as Christians cannot live and operate with split a split heart and split allegiances. Mr Hacking is hoping to have worldly success, doing as those outside of Christ do, yet hoping for blessed results. It was never going to happen and now he’s been revealed he has the opportunity to repent. If he has any genuine intentions of truly giving his allegiance to Christ and stepping out of and away from the clutches of Satan’s system, then this is something he must do and perhaps this is God calling him to do so. The importance of this choice for him and for all of us cannot be under stated.
This is such an important communication, not only to Christian Hacking, but also to our brothers and sisters in Christ. As Paul S. Waugh makes clear, we need to follow Christ’s commandment for us to love each other as members of the Body of Christ.
I really appreciate how Paul encouraged Mr Hacking to defend the faith and the faithful. That’s such an important role and responsibility for Christians to take on. Not enough have felt the need to do so and it is for this reason that we see Christians bashed in the mainstream media as well as by many in contemporary society.
Whilst it seems that Christian Hacking does not want to take on such a role, I pray that others in the Body of Christ will do so.
I really value reading this letter. It is both clear and compassionate, combining a firm call to repentance with a genuine concern for Christian Hacking’s relationship with Christ.
What stood out to me was how clearly it sets out the biblical principles involved and shows the importance of living in alignment with God’s truth rather than our own desires or understanding. It is never easy to confront wrongdoing, but this letter does so in a way that seeks restoration rather than condemnation.
I pray that Christian Hacking will receive the message with humility, recognise where he has gone wrong, and draw closer to Christ through genuine repentance. May God give him the wisdom, strength, and support he needs to walk in truth and obedience.
Every bit of evidence I see to do with this does not land in Mr Hacking’s favour yet I still hope that he has the good faith to sit down and make this right. But this is truly disturbing to see a so-called brother in Christ behaving as he is and seemingly so ready to throw others under the bus for clicks
I sincerely hope Mr Hacking heeds the words of candour, accountability and encouragement here. I pray for his relationship with Christ to improve and for him to repent.
I really hope this reaches him and he feels the reality here, this here is powerful in its reality check. If this was to me, this is cutting deep in my claims to be Christian, but as it stands is showing it’s far from love that Christ has and expects of me. This is a word of warning to these covetous so called Christian, who have the clothing of a sheep, but in reality are satanic goats, that this knowledge and growing wisdom the Body of Christ will learn and see your true colours. Great letter.
I really appreciate that what has been laid out for Christian Hacking are the problems, solutions and opportunities available IF he turns from his pride and faces his responsibilities as someone claiming to be a Christian and who is also a Dad and a husband.
This is a pivotal moment for him if he makes the loving, responsible and mature choice to look at Christ’s example, we pray he will 🙏
Thank you for sharing this much-needed letter. I can feel the urgency from a brother in Christ to another potential brother in Christ to look deeply at himself and do the inner searching he needs. God commanded that we do not bear false witness, yet, from what you have shared, this is exactly what Mr Hacking has done.
There is much love in this open letter, reaching out to someone who feels like he needs help. The person he needs to reach out to is Christ and seek repentance.
