1. Today’s Update

Who is the biggest scammer you know in your life?

Is it your prime minister or president? There’s a lot of allegations currently going around…

Is it the media outlet you once trusted? Filling your mind with falsehoods, lies and truth-distortions?

Is it your boss? Or your boss’s boss? The one with all the power doing who knows what behind the scenes?

Is it that religious minister who never practices what they preach?

Is it your ex?

A family member?

Maybe if you’re Christian, you’re thinking it’s Satan himself? Or one of his demons?

What if this person was constantly finding ways to scam you without you even detecting it?

Telling you exactly what you want to hear.

Encouraging you to take the lazy option.

Justifying your bad choices.

Pushing you to give into temptation instead of develop the discipline.

Condoning having that little indulgence, while no one’s looking.

What if the biggest scammer in your life is someone who never, ever leaves your side, who you’ve known all your life, who you trust more than anyone in the world…

You.

It’s not comfortable, is it? Not someone outside of yourself you can blame or point the finger at. You might even be offended by the implication! Me? A scammer?! How dare they! I’m a good person! I have integrity!

(Can you hear that scam already playing out before you’ve put your shoes on?…)

This is the power of Scamtology. As we’ve covered before, Scamtologists beget Scamtologists. But the most damaging and pernicious reality of living in Scamtopia, is that we become so indoctrinated, we become our own worst enemy.

We stop looking for our potential. We stop trying to build the most optimal life we can. We start to compromise and talk ourselves out of opportunities. We become more risk averse. Less curious. We crave comfort instead of growth.

And once we’ve been living like this, with our own internal scammer, for 30, 40, 50, 60 years, why wouldn’t we trust them? Why would we get rid of them?

This is what makes true human transformation impossible without the Spirit of God working in someone. Anything less is just re-branding and posturing. This is, in part, why our work at Lighthouse has been an arduous journey of over 20 years of research.

We will be elaborating on what it means in detail, to be the victim of our own selves, and what we must do about it to change. This will include individual and organisational case studies, as well as some incredibly exciting, pioneering and profound publications we will be releasing soon.

For now, on a lighter note, here is a video that perfectly personifies what we are talking about. The “beer thief” in our lives could easily be substituted for the “human potential thief” or the “truth thief”… how many of us have looked at our lives and blamed our circumstances, situations and people for our problems, when we are the ones who’ve been scamming ourselves out of truth, reality and building our lives?

The Supermarket Isn’t a Store — It’s a Military Scamming Operation

You think you’re popping in for milk at your local supermarket.

But the moment those automatic doors open, the Scam has already started.

What if your local shopping visit to get your essentials was actually a trap? A step into a scam, pulling money out of your wallet that you never intended to release, but you give it away gladly, thinking you just bagged a deal?

And that’s the point.

This isn’t about villainising supermarkets. It’s about recognising how environments are designed to shape your perception first and your behaviour second. If businesses will invest heavily in psychology to nudge your grocery bill upward, what does that suggest about what the Establishment is willing to do where the stakes are far higher?

The supermarket is a template.

Once you see the levers being pulled, you can’t unsee them and developing your self-awareness is where real choice begins.

Here is some collective feedback from Associates at Lighthouse Global, gathered from previous calls Paul has had with us about the religious cult of Scamtology—how it operates, and how we often fail to see ourselves as we truly are, particularly in relation to today’s update on the greatest scammer of all—ourselves.

When we never learned to differentiate between institutions, incentives, power structures, and narratives, everything merged into one vague “system.” That made intelligent response nearly impossible. The coordinated attacks we’ve examined — from media to state bodies — would once have sounded conspiratorial to us. Now we see how naïve that dismissal was. We hadn’t understood interlocking incentives, reputational manipulation, or how exploitation thrives on blurred perception. We were easy to mislead because we weren’t actually looking.

There’s grief in this recognition. Grief for time lost in circular journeys that felt like progress. Grief for how scamptopia conditioned us to accept less than what we were made for. Grief for how fear built walls around our curiosity and tenacity.

The Scripture about the grain of wheat falling into the ground keeps echoing. There is a dying here — a dying to the version of ourselves that was content to be a “better slave,” a more polished participant in a rigged system. A dying to loving this world in its current, corrupted form. And yet we sense that this death is not annihilation; it is germination. Something elemental is stirring. Seeds planted years ago — questions we couldn’t silence — are pushing up through soil we didn’t know we were standing in.

We’re also seeing more clearly that the Kingdom begins within. That’s both liberating and sobering. We cannot outsource discernment. We cannot wait for someone else to unblob for us. Education, research, questioning — these are not optional extras but acts of spiritual responsibility. Acting in the present, not endlessly analysing the past, reveals who we are and where resistance still grips us.

We’re humbled by how much we would never have seen on our own. Perspectives are being stretched beyond what we thought possible. We’re recognising the rarity of true questioning, the cost of genuine leadership, and the spiritual dimension behind the resistance to this work. And in that, strangely, we feel encouraged. If there is opposition, it is because something real is at stake.

Above all, we’re becoming more aware of our need for the Holy Spirit.
