Lighthouse Daily – 8th April 2026..
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved” – Ephesians 2:4-5
Good day fellow citizens and brothers and sisters in Christ,
This week, we came out of honouring Jesus Christ’s perfect, unique and literally life-saving sacrifice for us.
Jesus Christ did not ask us to celebrate His birthday. He did not ask us to celebrate the Mount of Olives. He commanded us to honour His death and His resurrection. To celebrate it, for everything it means, for everything and everyone.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ, truly marks the beginning of our lives, as we live in Him, serve with Him and for Him for His glory; to be purified, to be made whole, to abide with Him.
Not only does this time mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it marks the death of our old selves.
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” – Galatians 2:20
Typically, a “new year” as celebrated in January, is predominantly about ourselves. “My” new year’s resolutions… “new year, new me”.
Rather than getting hung up on superficial celebrations, we at Lighthouse have decided to dedicate our work, our plans and the value we create to honour Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection; His atonement. Hence, our working calendar will begin with Resurrection Sunday and end on the following Good Friday; Easter to Easter.
Why is this so meaningful and important? Because we, as human beings are made in Christ (John 1:3), made in His image (Genesis 1:27), and made to produce value in His image (Genesis 1:28). Not just made in His image like a statue… we are made to produce. Like everything in nature that He creates, we are made for purpose, made with meaning, created with constructive love. So we will serve our Lord and His Body in commemoration of Him at the deepest, highest and most optimal level. We do not know how much time we have left on this earth before the satanic system completely crashes and burns as foretold in the book of Revelation, but in the time we have, we sincerely and earnestly will strive to make the most of it. Always working towards the highest level of work. And the highest level of work, whether here or in heaven eternally, is sacred. To be willing to suffer for what is right, for what is good, for what we believe, for what is meaningful, for the glory of the One True Living God.

There’s meaning and depth here I know I don’t appreciate to the extent it’s there; to live, serve and work in hindsight and foresight of the most important time of human history is huge. It’s so different from living one calendar year to the next. But actually living with personal, relational meaning and purpose. This is huge for me personally as to the meaning and purpose of my life. Thank You Lord Jesus, for what You have done for me to live with genuine purpose.
What an incredibly meaningful update. As Sukh shared, I don’t think I’ve even begun to fully appreciate the depth of what this truly means—but my gosh, how amazing is it that we are able to share this with others.
There’s something so powerful about coming together in honour of our Lord Jesus Christ and what He has done for us. It really puts everything into perspective and reminds us of the privilege we have to live in Him and for Him.
Thank you all so much for this—and most of all, thank You to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you for pointing out these realities and for honouring Christ’s death and resurrection in this way. So often, we go through the year in an automated way instead of truly appreciating or being aware of what is really crucial in life.
Thank you for this call to come back to who we are as human beings, that we are made in God’s image and that we are created to produce value in His image. This is such a powerful and much-needed message for Christians.
I really value us being able to share this with the world. Learning about the reality of Christ’s Atonement was a significant step for me in moving from mentally believing the reality of God to moving to a heartfelt relationship with Christ. The more I learn about the meaning and significance of Easter, the more I see how dark, evil and anti-Christ this world is. I appreciate the way that we’re able to start recognising and honouring Easter in the way it needs to be.
Thank you for such a meaningful update and for helping me to appreciate Christ’s Atonement and Sacrifice for me. It is fascinating how I and the majority of the western world celebrate Christmas so avidly and with such little meaning relatively, compared with Easter where Christ conquered death and sacrifice for me and humanity where they have accepted his atonement.
Amen 🙏 What a year it will be, we continue to pray to serve as new creatures in Christ and to honour His atonement with our bodies and every resource we have,
This is such a powerful choice in aligning ourselves with our almighty God and creator, not following the timelines and agendas of this world, but that of serving our Lord and putting Him first. All Christians ought to live and work this way I believe as a means of honouring Him. I look forward to this new year ahead and what it may bring. I feel and believe that God is really going to lift up and empower His people, the Body of Christ this year in ways that are going to truly glorify Him.
What an incredible way to celebrate our Lord and Saviour, Easter to Easter. Christ died so we could be here today, He sacrificed His life for us, therefore, what a way to honour Him by having our New Year from the day of His resurrection to the day of He was crucified on the cross. It’s meaningful to celebrate what is most significant and meaningful, not Christ’s birthday but He’s resurrection, the point of His time on earth. Wonderful insight and influencing perspective.
What a fitting and moving memorial to our Lord. Having a financial year or a calendar year is of little significance really compared to Easter – the memorial of our Lord’s death and resurrection. That can be the only pivotal point in our lives so why not our whole year, I love this. God bless an happy Easter
