The Lie of American History: How the Public Record Gets Falsified
“Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.” — Psalm 33:12
This weekend marked the 250th Anniversary of American independence. 250 years since the American founding fathers broke from the tyranny of British rule and established a new nation.
Given this historic occasion, was the United States of America a country that was founded on Christian principles and tenets? Or was it just built on secular ideology?
Most people today would be unclear and unsure. Some would categorically say “no, definitely not Christian”.
Why?
Because the historical public records have been deliberately and purposefully hidden from people.
Why would anyone do that?
Because one of the defining factors in our lives is our identity. Who we believe we are, where we believe we come from, what our origins are, what culture we are born into, and what kind of citizenship we are to uphold.
In other words, our identity informs the cognitive record we each hold as individuals.
As God’s children, our ultimate citizenship is in God’s Kingdom (Philippians 3:20–21).
But if any nation was actually founded on divine principles, and those principles were written into the country’s very constitution, that would dramatically inform every aspect of government, culture and society.
Likewise, if a nation were only founded on secular ideology, or any other ideology like that of Islam, it would instil and inform a very, very different society, with very different prospects and opportunities.
Literally, the difference between the divine and the diabolical.
In this video below, Pastor Josh Howerton and Tim Barton reveal the first prayer of the “Continental Congress” (the governing bodies that would then become the USA).
This is just one of many, many ways that our perception of history has been so devastatingly falsified in order to corrupt not only the public record, but our personal cognitive records — i.e. what we think and believe to be true or not…

How Parental Denial Corrupts a Child Belief System
“You shall have no other gods before me.” — Exodus 20:3
Last week, we began sharing some of the dark and disturbing realities of the abuse that children suffer in toxic, abusive families. As we delve deeper into this, here is a powerful quote from the late Susan Forward, author of “Toxic Parents”. She speaks about the power that parents wield over children and how those sons and daughters develop a relationship with what is true and what is false:
“Denial is both the most primitive and the most powerful of psychological defences. It employs a make-believe reality to minimize, or even negate, the impact of certain painful life experiences. It even makes some of us forget what our parents did to us, allowing us to keep them on their pedestals… Unfortunately, your own denial is not the only denial you may have to contend with. Your parents have denial systems of their own. When you are struggling to reconstruct the truth of your past, especially when that truth reflects poorly on them, your parents may insist that “it wasn’t so bad,” “it didn’t happen that way,” or even that “it didn’t happen at all.” Such statements can frustrate your attempts to reconstruct your personal history, leading you to question your own impressions and memories. They undercut your confidence in your ability to perceive reality, making it that much harder to rebuild your self-esteem.” (And your personal identity in Christ.)
Our parents (and other influential adults who have been in positions of authority in our lives) have a MAJOR impact on what we believe as children and therefore bring into our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual adulthood. This is why the Bible warns so strongly for parents to care for their children and instruct them so diligently. (Proverbs 22:6)
Every psychologist and psychotherapist worth their salt will agree that all of our personal, relational, emotional, and mental health issues are rooted in our childhood experiences. If our parents literally deny the truth, starting with the truth of God to us as children, and do not educate us, that will absolutely affect us later in life. That can happen directly (by rejecting God) and indirectly (by positioning themselves as the divine authority in your life).
Some of the parents of our clients at Lighthouse couldn’t even dare to admit that they had flaws as parents. Let alone admit or even apologise for their physical, emotional, financial or sexual abuse of their own children.
What these toxic parents did instead was, tragically, attack and try to destroy the human source of the help their children were getting; Paul S. Waugh. Whereas, Paul has always advocated and worked to unify and help heal families (long before he founded Lighthouse). In some cases, he has spent his own time, money and energy in helping families go through private therapy to get as much help as they could. Yet despite all his efforts, instead of those toxic parents taking responsibility and facing reality, they chose to attack Paul and therefore sabotage their own children’s futures.
This is not about blaming parents.
This is about setting the record straight and realising that they have responsibility for their role as parents. Especially where they have caused damage to their own children. And we have a responsibility as adults to correct the record starting in our own lives — including our childhood. This is one of the reasons why we recently called Christian Hacking to repent for idolising his own father.
3. Targeted from the Outside: How The Establishment Persecutes us Christians
How to Spot BBC Fake News
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” — 1 John 4:1
How do you tell the difference between fake news and accurate reporting?
- How would you know if a programme has been honestly fact-checked?
- How would you know if the sources are telling the truth?
- How would you know if there was crucial context missing?
- How would you know if “facts” given to you were actually just opinions?
Here’s a big clue as to how to detect fake news… ALWAYS ask:
What is the character and spirit of the creators of this broadcast or article?
And don’t just take the media outlet’s word for it.
They may claim it’s in the public interest, but is it really? Or is it a sensationalist hit piece?
They may claim it’s educational, but is it actually a piece of propaganda?
They may claim it’s for your protection, but is it actually to instil fear and paranoia in you?
(Fear is a major weapon that enables populations to be easily controlled)
As former BBC producer David Keighley wrote recently;
“The same culture that lied to Diana caused Panorama to broadcast a doctored Trump speech — and then hid that fact for six months… The same managerial instincts that closed ranks around Bashir have also dictated the Corporation’s distorted Gaza coverage, its climate alarmism orthodoxy, its systematic smearing of mainstream opinion as ‘far-right’, and its treatment of legitimate public complaints as irritants to be neutralised… The same BBC that deceived a vulnerable princess continues to deceive the nation under the comforting slogan of ‘impartiality’.”
Fake News can only come from an organisation that is willing to lie, cover up lies, deceive the public and manipulate the facts to get their agenda across.
This is why we have previously exposed and coined The BBC Savile Syndrome, because the BBC is a den of lies, deceit and abuse.

All the lies and deceit in the world is blinding us from living healthy and prosperous lives. This is exaggerated when those telling the lies are media corporations and governments looking to control people rather than educate and inform them.
Misleading a nation over decades with subtle lies that are close to reality, but not 100% true (like The BBC has) allows the demonic establishment to alter the course of an entire people away from truth and into chaos.
The most valuable takeaway for me is the reminder to verify primary sources rather than relying on headlines or clips shared on social media. That standard should apply equally to the BBC, independent media, and everyone else.
What I value about all the updates you share with us is how they all relate to one thing: correcting the record. There is so much information that at times, it is a lot to take in, but it is very necessary. God bless you all; I appreciate the hard work that goes into these updates and the articles…
Denial. Denial of the truth. Denial of history. Denial of abuse. Denial of cover-ups and wrongdoing. This is a big message coming through today. On one hand I am not surprised about the history of the USA being rewritten or the corruption and abuse of the BBC being so diabolically hidden. But on the other hand, it’s seriously damning! THIS is the world we live in, where the “history” and “news” taught to children and adults is literally falsified?! Tell me we don’t live in a world governed by Satan (temporarily)! Thank you for once again exposing the truth and putting light on the falsehoods.
There’s great depth and substance to today’s update.
Firstly it’s amazing how much influence Christianity had on the founding of the United States. Even more incredible how there’s such effort to completely dismiss this. It just goes to show how much of a threat that Christianity poses to today’s anti-Christian establishment.
Meanwhile the section with the excerpts from toxic parents dares to confront an area so sensitive and close to home that most will do all they can to avoid looking at it. Personally speaking I’ve seen how important it’s been for my personal growth and development to look at my parents as human beings rather than the gods I wanted them to be. It’s so unfair and sinful for us to worship parents… honour them yes, love them too, but don’t put them on a pedestal! I shared more on this through my article about the experience of forgiving my mum before she passed 6 years ago.
Lastly I appreciate this education on spotting fake news. With the efforts of the BBC to position itself as a bastion of truth, it’s all the more important to see through the ‘whiter than white’ facade.
Thank you! This shows again how important it is to be fully committed to the Truth and how falsehoods can even impact history and, through that, the present and future of whole countries. It is crucial to correct the falsified public record and to point out falsehoods and lies. We cannot build something solid and sustainable on warped perceptions.
I also appreciate understanding more about how to detect fake news and how to question the character of those who produce it. It is clear that the establishment does not want citizens to develop the skills to question agendas, as this would lead to a loss of control by governments and establishment organisations. Very powerful!
God bless all those children who are suffering under the tyranny of their own families, and may they receive the help and support they need to break out of that cycle.
The way the Establishment is trying to re-write the history books and just straight up lying to and gaslighting the American public while falsifying the public record of their own roots and founding as a nation is outrageous. This is proper George Orwell 1984 stuff. Isn’t it fascinating though, that America thrived and prospered so much until the Establishment started trying to divorce itself from Christianity and the Bible. Now look what’s happening there – more divided, more in debt, less productive than ever!
Thank you for sharing how deep corruption of the record actually goes. From actually being able to corrupt what a nation and entire continents think about the formal religion of said country to individual micro fake news, it’s staggering how much propaganda we face continually in the west – and as part of that propaganda are led to believe we have free speech and a impartial state broadcaster!
It’s powerful to hear the attitude and intention of the Founding Fathers of America. It’s beautiful how they adhered to God’s Word. That’s why it was so successful for centuries, but now that they’ve moved away from a God-centred foundation, it’s declining.
Also, thank you for working on setting the record straight with parenting. Parenting is getting worse, not better, with time. It’s really bad. Parents are becoming more self-serving, and children are increasingly becoming fodder for their parents’ desires.
The recent appearances of Tim Barton on the Live Free podcast have been game changers to understand the Christian founding of the United States and, more worryingly, how we have been brainwashed and lied to about its roots. How many other lies have we believed about our history? How much would the truth reveal that we, just like the Bible shows over and over, are a people and a nation that walked away from God and are all in need of a saviour? The falsified record must be corrected and it’s great to see that being done.
Thank you for bringing us back to the key message, that the cognitive and public record must be corrected. We can see how for example, parental denial, reveals how far back our lack of education about the need for the correct record goes. Over the years my cognitive record has been significantly corrected about what I understood family to be after years of being subjected to falsified records of what I was experiencing as a child. What I was told was care for me was actually verbal abuse. God bless and help us all to seek out and demand truth across every sets of our lives 🙏
