1. Today’s Update

Good evening everyone,

In its hubris, the BBC presents itself as a divinely sanctioned earthly authority on truth. It has to present this ‘brand’ in order to justify forcing the British public to fork out billions for its existence (regardless of whether they use its services or not). The result of the BBC’s tyranny as the mouthpiece of the British establishment is that thousands of the most vulnerable members of British society are criminally prosecuted for non-payment of the TV Licence, with 73% being women in 2024.

In May 2023, the BBC pushed this self-promoting propaganda to a whole new level when the disgraced ex-BBC News CEO Deborah Turness announced the launch of BBC Verify. Ms Turness introduced BBC Verify as a manifestation of the BBC’s “rigorous editorial standards”, but then went on to resign a couple of years later in November 2025 because of how the BBC manipulated a speech by Donald Trump

The BBC has been littered with controversies over the years; from a rigged phone-in on the children’s TV programme Blue Peter, to deceptively securing an interview with Princess Diana by forging documents, and not to mention the heinous coverup of Jimmy Savile’s sexual abuse of children.

So with this terrible track record, the question has to be asked, “Who verifies BBC Verify and the BBC as a whole?”

Well, now there is an answer, as today we officially launch… Citizen BBC Verify

The aim of this is to monitor the BBC for its lies, coverups and propaganda falsehoods.

Both the media and the public are skeptical of BBC Verify to say the least.

Patrick West of the Spectator described BBC Verify as “a monument to a particular arrogance and Olympian self-importance of the BBC.” (The trouble with BBC Verify)

We invite you to go to bbcverify.org as a site that will ensure the BBC and BBC Verify itself can and will be verified. We will be expanding this site significantly, educating through case studies that reveal the BBC’s dark truth propaganda tactics and techniques.

The BBC’s treatment of us at Lighthouse through A Very British Cult opened our eyes to the reality of the BBC’s provable deception. We now have a responsibility and a duty to help citizens across the globe that, despite repeating the soundbite of being the most trusted news source, they are simply not trustworthy.

God bless

Paul S. Waugh, Chris Nash, Shaun Cooper

2. Daily Prayer

This prayer thanks God for timely guidance and acknowledges complete dependence on Him. It asks for forgiveness, blessing, supernatural faith, and divine guidance to move forward beyond human limitations. This prayer lifts up the vulnerable and the wider Body of Christ, offering gratitude and repentance through Jesus Christ.

3. Today’s Daily “Citizen/Christian and the Establishment Problem” Example

Bus Driver Sacked For Protecting Passenger

What should have been a straightforward story of a bus driver heroically intervening to protect a vulnerable stranger became something else entirely: confusion, inversion of facts, and an attempt to recast the aggressor as a victim. This is the world we are now living in.

In the video, Mark Hehir the bus driver phoned up a radio station himself because the facts were being distorted in the media. He explains how he chases down the thief, recovers stolen property, returns it to the distressed young woman on his bus, and then physically intervenes when the same man comes back and appears to attack again. CCTV shows the thief throwing the first punch. Yet almost immediately, an alternative narrative begins to circulate at his workplace, one in which the attacker is portrayed as peace-seeking, and the man who stepped in is framed as the problem. This led to him being sacked by his employer!!

Across society, basic moral clarity is being eroded. Acts of protection are reframed as violence. Criminal behaviour is softened, contextualised, or excused. Ordinary people who step in to defend others are left exposed, legally, reputationally, and socially—while institutions hesitate, equivocate, or side with disorder. The result is not compassion; it is chaos. This is what the Establishment wants so they can bring in the laws they want through the politicians they control.

This is not accidental, it is being orchestrated by those that the Establishment control. When truth becomes negotiable and reality is endlessly reframed, the public loses confidence in its own judgement. People become hesitant to act, afraid that doing the right thing will be punished if it conflicts with an approved narrative. Fear replaces trust. Passivity replaces courage. Communities fragment.

The most destabilising element is not the original crime, but what comes after: the distortion. Footage is selectively interpreted. Context is stripped away. Authority figures and media voices amplify misleading framings, creating moral confusion where there should be none. Over time, this trains the public to stand back, look away, and let things slide because intervention has become risky. Chaos instead becomes normalised, narrated, and managed by the Establishment rather than being peacefully confronted.

Yes! What a brilliant and absolutely necessary intervention to create Citizen BBC Verify! To have the arrogance to claim that they are the arbiters of truth, of what is real and right, as if they genuinely are impartial, is now very clearly a heinous lie. Ofcom have proved that they do not hold the BBC accountable for the vast amount of wrongs committed by the broadcaster. This is likely because Ofcom itself is full of ex-BBC staff. As George Carlin once said, the game is rigged. So we, the public, must be granted the opportunity to hold accountable those who claim to serve us. Be that the BBC, the government, or any authoritative institution. Thank you to all the team behind this.

Mark Hehir deserves a medal, not the sack! I can only imagine how much grief, abuse and interference he has put up with over the years as a bus driver. How many times he has likely defended his passengers without recognition, without credit.. it would not surprise me if this is the first time he’s done this sort of thing. You’ve very aptly pointed out that this is no accident. The confusion, the noise, the deceit plagues the masses. This is all the more reason for Citizen BBC Verify!

I have to ask, why does the BBC need BBC Verify? Surely as a news broadcaster it has already verified the facts and presented them to me? If it has done this job well, then why would it be afraid to verify itself?

The answer is because they want to control narratives and turn good deeds into bad ones, like they have with the bus driver, Me Hehir.

Wow, this is incredible. Citizen BBC Verify is exactly what’s needed in this day and age — giving a voice to the people and ensuring that what we consume isn’t left unchecked by those both presenting it and receiving it. The BBC clearly isn’t taking responsibility for the wrongdoing and falsehoods it continues to propagate, nor, as stated here, does it offer a fair right of reply to us at Lighthouse. Thank you for such an important and timely initiative.

God bless that bus driver. His story shows exactly what is happening in today’s world — everything is being twisted to mean its opposite. While I’m glad he was at least given the opportunity to share his side live on air, it doesn’t change the fact that the perpetrator walked away without consequence and a false narrative was then spread about this driver. These are precisely the kinds of stories that need to be exposed and shared, so people can see what the BBC and other mainstream media outlets are really like and what they are involved in covering up.

Thank you.

Again and again the facade that I can only call the BBC is revealed. There’s no substance with the BBC, shallow statements that hide something heinous. Brilliant launching the BBC Verify, it’s so needed to know whether what is shared by them is real or not.
Yeah, as an ex-bus driver, I can add something to the discussion. People are expendable in the eyes of corporations. A bus company would rather sack the driver than deal with the repercussions – it’s the easiest way out – so they take that route.
Regardless of doing the right thing, he could end up in trouble simply for stepping out of the cab, for instance, even though what he did was the right thing and helped make the service safer. The woman may have been attacked, but she got her belongings back because the bus driver took action. That could make her feel more confident.
However, seeing what’s happened also makes people less comfortable using public transport. It’s a disgusting mess all round but I get it, it’s orchestrated to be this way.

Verify, to make sure that the facts presented are true and accurate…well this obviously didn’t happen with the Donald Trump speech, or the audio recording of Paul Waugh during A Very British Cult.

I love this new site, to have a place where all the BBC’s lies and deceptions can be shown, and the public being able to see what their forced licence fee is going towards, Thank you Paul, Chris and Shaun.

What the driver of the bus said at the end was spot on, what person robs someone then goes back a few minutes later to apologise??? What gained to the driver is another way the establishment control what happens. The driver was clearly not the perpetrator, he b was just being out a women who’s necklace got stolen. I pray he is reinstated and recommended for his bravery.

BBC Verify had a team of 60 people at one stage. Assuming the average London wage of £30k, that’s £1.8 million a year. That’s a lot of licence fees! Now if it actually did it’s job that could actually be seen as value for money in the grand scheme of things. However unfortunately it didn’t do its job especially with its own broadcasts.

Good on the Bus driver, Mr Hehir, for calling into LBC and calling them out on pushing the false ‘narrative’. It really doesn’t surprise me that LBC would do that, but the fact that these stories are so numerous, and increasingly so, is a terrible indictment of what our society is becoming.

I really look forward to the ongoing findings and reports of the Citizen BBC Verify! That is what any verify organisation ought to be — utterly independent, objective and led by the public, not the media institutions themselves. The absolute arrogance and (I love the way the Spectator put this) “Olympian” sized levels of self-importance that the BBC have is so embarrassingly astounding for them to create such a thing as BBC Verify and then do next to nothing to ‘verify’ themselves!

They are monumental gaslighters, deceivers and crooks but probably what’s more incredible is how the public have let them get away with such hubris as long as they have. It’s either that or the amount of people who actually watch the BBC is so low, that no one really pays any attention or cares what they put out, nor trusts them at all. I think the latter is certainly the direction they are heading in, if not already there. The BBC have never been so much of a disgraceful joke of an organisation as they are today. And add to this the fact that the toothless Ofcom pseudo regulator is staffed by predominantly ex BBC staffers who do nothing to hold them to account and the whole idea of there being any accountability of the BBC is all a farcical illusion.

I’ve seen a number of posts, articles and quotes asking what gives the BBC the right to verify everyone else whilst it doesn’t verify itself.

So it’s wonderful that we now have an answer and a solution!

As for Mark Hehir, what an example of how the mainstream media does not represent citizens! What a disgrace that an act of courage ended up being twisted in such a perverted way.

When I heard that the BBC created a site to combat disinformation, I thought it had to be a joke! The BBC need more investigation and verification than anyone and now it’s here! Everything the BBC has tried to hide and cover up for decades will be on our Citizen BBC Verify site! Please pray for us as we continue to reveal the true character of the BBC for the world to see.

The more I learn about the BBC’s wrongdoing over decades and the destructive impact it has had on the lives of so many people, the clearer it becomes that real change is urgently needed. I am genuinely looking forward to Citizen BBC Verify and to seeing the BBC held accountable for its actions. Too many so-called regulators appear to be part of the same establishment, failing to do their job and instead pursuing their own agendas.

God bless Mark Hehir as well. His case is yet another example of good-hearted people being persecuted for standing up for what is right. I sincerely hope he receives fair compensation, and that other bus drivers are not discouraged from speaking out against injustice because of examples like this.

Thank you.
