Good day fellow citizens and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Today’s update is about a 15 minute read.

1. Our Personal, Interpersonal & Global Commission from Christ: The Problems We Face and Solutions Needed
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” – James 4:7
What is one of the biggest cop-outs that millions of Christians around the world use to excuse their lack of love and obedience to Christ…
The devil.
Satan ironically is one of the biggest scapegoats of Christians.
While God is the biggest scapegoat of non-Christians.
We know full well that, as the scriptures say, “Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8).
What we are addressing here is specifically the satanic scapegoat syndrome when Christians try to lay blame on the devil, on the basis of our own wilful, practising sin and rank disobedience.
We are all guilty of this. Some more than others…
“The devil made me do it.”
“The devil put those thoughts in my mind.”
Or more subtly…
“My childhood means I can never change”
“I didn’t get the right education”
“I wasn’t born into the right social class”
When we stand before Christ, what will we say if He asks us why we were wilfully disobedient for all our years?
Would you say “because of the devil”?
Because if that is the case, then everyone who’s ever lived past and present will be going to Heaven.
There is no denying that Satan is the ruler of this world (John 16:11, 2 Corinthians 4:4).
But God is infinitely and eternally far greater than Satan.
We are living in Satan’s system and are constantly bombarded with temptation in every perverted form.
BUT we deny our own responsibility if we are constantly blaming the devil for our own personal sin and imperfection!
Our responsibility therefore is not to look to Satan as an excuse, but to look to Christ to examine ourselves.
To look inside where we are disobedient, disrespectful and where we can honour Him far more than we do.
To do everything we can, by His grace and Spirit, to honour our Lord. To honour what He has done and still does for us every single day.
We ought not to judge others as sinners and “bad people” because of their wickedness and evil, yet when it comes to ourselves, we find a way to justify our wrongdoing. In other words we ought not to judge others by their actions, and ourselves by our intentions. Yet tragically, so many do.
2. Targeted from Within: The Greatest Threats to the Body of Christ from Inside
12 Days of No Response from Christian Hacking
It has now been 12 days since this offer to reconcile and engage in a debate in Christ was extended, and we have received no response from Mr Hacking. While he writes articles about spilt milk, there has not been one extension from him to make his wrongs right.
“Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.” – Luke 12:1
Today we want to show you the rank hypocrisy that comes from self-identified Christians, who never dare examine themselves. Instead, they choose to point their hypocritical, psychopathically judgmental finger at you. This is core to the Judas Syndrome.
They want you to stop your mission for Christ. They want to derail you. They want to make you feel abnormal, weird or irresponsible.

- Christian Hacking presented himself to Lighthouse Global as a “very amateur” independent Christian journalist, and we initially aimed to support him as a brother or sister in Christ.
- Lighthouse later concluded that Hacking had a vested interest in demonising us through toxic framing, needing Lighthouse to appear as a “cult” and Paul S. Waugh as a “cult leader”, despite what is extensive contrary evidence.
- We believe this framing served Hacking’s amateur journalistic ambitions by creating a sensational “big scoop”, even if misleading, at our and Paul’s expense.
- Due to Hacking’s deceptive intent, lack of professionalism, and limited audience or reach, we decided we could not work with Hacking.
- Hacking sent Paul a set of 150 questions. These questions were biased, cynical, self righteous, and prosecutorial, demanding answers, despite Paul stating (26 Jan 2026, via audio message) that we could not work with Hacking.
- At minimum this is a petty vendetta, and possibly signs of being a “media plant” connected to the BBC. Both Hacking and Hacking’s father David have praised the BBC.
- If Hacking is smearing Christian communities as “cults” for personal agenda rather than genuine investigation, it must be challenged, hence our case study and linking it to the “Judas Syndrome” educational series.
- This issue is larger than one individual. It is part of a wider, orchestrated “Establishment” strategy to brand close knit communities, and even businesses or parties, as alleged cults to control narratives and ostracise opposition.
Hypocritical accusations by Christian Hacking
“You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” – Matthew 7:5
As you will see in the below video, Mr Hacking can barely afford to look after his own family. This is despite his father, Lord David Hacking, being deeply entrenched in the top-tier Establishment and being paid over £300 per day to be a member of the House of Lords.
Yet, in his barrage of 150 prosecutorial questions targeted towards Paul S. Waugh and Lighthouse, he included this judgmental statement. It was not even a question!
“Lighthouse partners, since the court case, are pursuing ever larger projects in pursuit of Lighthouse Global aims when in reality some of them simply need to get jobs and pay bills.”
Not only is this a very clear example of Pharisaic, toxic hypocrisy, there is not one ounce of encouragement from Mr Hacking toward the Lighthouse Associates. This was also a statement he made directly to Sukh Singh, telling him to get a job! One of the many reasons Sukh sent Mr Hacking a Cease and Desist letter, given his toxic and destructive behaviour.
Imagine if someone like Mr Hacking approached the Disciples of Christ, or missionaries serving vulnerable children at great expense to themselves like Corrie Ten Boom, or anyone desperately serving God and humanity, and instead of encouraging them to continue the noble work they do, telling them to “get a job and pay bills”.
Mr Hacking knows full well that some individuals at Lighthouse do have part and full time jobs. A longstanding dynamic of Lighthouse, for over a decade, has been three groups:
- Lighthouse Associates who are committed to building Lighthouse Global full time
- Lighthouse Associates who hold part time jobs while investing their time and effort into Lighthouse
- Lighthouse Associates who are in full time jobs and build the work of Lighthouse in a number of other ways
Mr Hacking however will not disclose this to the public. He also knows that some individuals at Lighthouse have already tried to get jobs and have been dismissed precisely because of the BBC attacks on Lighthouse! To be frank, we have Associates who have been terrified for fear of being further smeared, lied about and targeted unfairly because of what the BBC and Insolvency Service have done to us.
Financial compensation has already begun regarding such injustices and much more is inevitably due to Lighthouse Associates.
It appears that Mr Hacking needs to take his own predatory judgmental “advice” and get a job to look after his own family. Because not only was he struggling financially when he made this clip in September 2025, but he was also struggling when he started preying on Lighthouse and Paul S. Waugh.
This is precisely why Christians need to be on the alert for the Judas Syndrome and deceptive, sneaky, pernicious individuals like Mr Hacking who come in the name of Christ, and with all the arrogance in the world, never look at themselves but instead try to stop you from your mission in Christ.
Do not let them.
As a note of encouragement, we are very thankful for the messages of prayer and support we have been receiving, such as this message below from a fellow Christian. Someone who can discern and clearly see Mr Hacking’s depraved and psychopathic behaviour, and recognises our deeply concerned and considerate actions we have taken.
“I think LGM’s response of being willing to debate openly shows grace & a willingness to reconcile. Also that Paul recognises Christian as a fellow brother in Christ… The Christian community, as well as society in general, needs bodies like LGM. And anybody who’s exposing falsehoods will be targeted by the devil.”
3. Targeted from the Outside: How The Establishment Persecutes us Christians
“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” – Matthew 10:6
The war on our perceptions and our views is not just restricted to mainstream media.
It is everywhere.
Social media may provide far more opportunity to connect and receive independent news, but it is also a hotbed for deception, propaganda and illusions.
The Establishment know this. They appear to give us more freedoms, better technology and more liberty — but all of these good and progressive opportunities are misused and abused against us to disempower us.

Remember, no matter what the top tier Establishment overtly say they are giving to you, the bottom tier citizen, you have the responsibility and need to question what is presented to you. This is precisely why we as Christians are called to discern every authority in the world.

Even reading about scapegoating the devil, I saw my mind saying “I don’t do that”. But I do… the excuses are not overt. It’s blaming circumstance, my emotions, justifying something, excusing my own behaviour. But wow, coming to the reality of answering to my Lord, why did I wilfully disobey Him?… it’s arresting and revealing, just how much control over my choice I give up in the name of being an imperfect human. Thank you so much for this.
The revelations about Mr Hacking are actually becoming more disturbing, compounded by the fact that he is still not replying or showing any sense of repentance and humility.
Thanks to you and Josh Howerton for showing one of many, many examples of how the truth is manipulated to control people. I pray to be able to perceive accurately and wisely in these extremely deceptive days.

Thank you for this update. It’s so true how as Christians we can default to blaming Satan, as a way of absconding our responsibility for our actions.
I really appreciate the Josh Howton video. I saw it recently and I have been guilty of making those incorrect judgments based upon my flawed perception. A flawed perception exacerbated by the mainstream media.
This is such a powerful lesson to take full responsibility of our sin and imperfection where we can acknowledge Satan’s influence without absolving ourselves of wrongdoing had it not been for him. Such an important and humbling lesson.
I am truly appalled to read what Mr Hacking wrote as a statement, not a question, in his 150 “questions” to Paul Waugh. I had no idea of the truly cynical nature before reading that. Why doesn’t the Apostle Paul just make tents because he has bills to pay, why doesn’t Peter go back to fishing – because that’s not the anointing that God put on their lives! We at Lighthouse are here not because it is a preference inasmuch as a calling to do this work, to share the truth, to expose corruption, to help those who are struggling.
For Mr Hacking to be such a hypocrite, advocating for community and mentors so that you can put food on the table and then cynically deride us, making himself a victim for calling him out on that hypocrisy is shameful. I pray he takes this to heart and repent. Or come and debate Paul and prove him wrong.
I so appreciate the first section of this update and how it’s convicting us all of our sin of deflection and scapegoating / shifting the blame for our wrongdoings. Christ taught us to take the log out of our own eyes for very good reason. Satan will be more than happy for us to scapegoat him knowing that in doing so it’s taking us away from our accepting responsibility and with that a path to repentance and redemption. Satan wants us to be absconding responsibility and continuing in our sin and I have done it, we all have done it. In fact we can see it now in our culture more than ever with the woke glorification of victim mentality and the marxist oppressed—oppressor perspective on life just how successful he’s been at inducing that into the minds and hearts of so many.
To say I am extremely disappointed in Mr Hacking is a great understatement, but his choices and actions in line with those, compared to what they could have been, only reveal him for what he truly is right now. His rank hypocrisy is being publicly laid bare and I pray this humbles him deeply enough to bring him to repentance.
Pastor Josh is showing us all just how easily we can be deceived if we aren’t truly zealous for the truth and discerning to seek it out. The Establishment knows this and uses that knowledge to great deceitful effect over the masses.
In relation to what was shared about the false “victim” of the devil, I agree totally with this. I say this because when Christ declares He has all authority in Matthew 28:18, from what I understand, Christ tells us that He possesses supreme, sovereign dominion over all dark forces, disarming them through His resurrection, and Satan is not God’s equal, but a defeated foe whose influence is limited by divine permission. There is so much focus put on Satan to explain our disobedience and wilful sin but the true believer has the Holy Spirit dwelling within them to address our sin and obey God so we can look more like Christ. This is a great and essential responsibility if we claim to follow Christ, and I say that while taking this responsibility seriously myself first.
In relation to Christian Hacking, again, it has been shown that his ability to investigate throughly, is shockingly poor, and which is why he is a very amateur journalist. His hypocrisy and pride knows no bounds and it is no wonder we have yet to receive a response from him. He ought to be and is clearly embarrassed and yet does nothing to actually set this whole situation right. We continue to pray for him and his family.
This is again such a crucial message for the Body of Christ, and also something I can relate to personally. It is often easier to blame others or the devil rather than take responsibility for my own actions.
Thank you as well for further revealing Christian Hacking’s character and his accusations towards Lighthouse. It raises questions about how clear he is within himself, and it makes me wonder what might be driving the need to place blame on others for their decisions and actions. I pray that he is able to reflect, repent, and learn to look more honestly within himself.
These kinds of tensions and challenges within the body of Christ need to be addressed openly and truthfully.

I’m appreciating the call to action that is encouraging discernment, maturity and taking responsibility in the Body of Christ.
I look at the actions of Christian Hacking and am failing to see how his behaviour is rooted in scripture and obedience to Christ. I pray for him and his family, because he’s clearly struggling with a number of different things. It seems that he’s very much lacking the community he’s advocating for whilst attacking us through a betrayal of trust followed by running away as if he’s done nothing in relation to us.
I am very grateful for the Christians who are praying for us, for Christian Hacking and for the situation to reveal God’s glory.
Very powerful message to be on our toes, not just as Christians, but as people in the world, there is propaganda everywhere. They are controlling us through perception.
I value the reality of how Christians too often push the blame onto Satan, making him look greater than he really is, when it is our disobedience. What is fascinating is how non Christians blame Jesus. It is always someone else.

Thank you for this much-needed message. This is a common trend we’re seeing in the Body of Christ, with Christian Hacking being just one recent example.
It’s also a crucial lesson for me personally. It’s so easy to blame the devil for everything or turn on one another instead of taking responsibility—both of which lead us away from the truth. It’s a sobering place to find ourselves.
Real maturity in Christ means accountability, humility, and unity—not deflection, blame-shifting, or division.
Lord, help us walk in truth and love. In Jesus’ name, amen.
I know in myself that I do minimise, justify and shift the blame onto others when it comes to my wrongdoings and that is where I need, and do repent. Taking responsibility for my own mistakes and sinfulness is imperative as a Christian. I know that I am where I am today because of where I have not taken responsibility and this is what is changing, but only because of God. I can’t make the changes on my own; I need His guidance and support.
Thank you so much for this update, helping me to look closer and see where else I need to hold myself accountable for my own actions. God gives us opportunities, but He allows us to make our own choices, and I need to take responsibility for my choices.

Given Mr Hacking’s attacks, it is ironic how in his video speaking about invoices, he mentions some of they very pillars Lighthouse is built upon; community, accountability, mentorship, the gospel of Christ… all things we have done, are doing and have been attacked for holding firm on.
