Good day, fellow citizens and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Today’s update is about a 6-minute read, with a short 5-minute article about the BBC.

1. Our Personal, Interpersonal & Global Commission from Christ: The Problems We Face and Solutions Needed
“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” — Colossians 3:16
There is a stark difference between merely identifying as a Christian and growing in the very Spirit and living Word of God.
Genuine Christians are not individuals with superficial new behaviours and artificial new personas.
Nor are we to merely read the Bible without it taking root within us.
We are not born again just to remain infants — we are called to be raised in the Holy Spirit.
We ought to be founded, grounded and rooted in God’s own constitution. This constitution is God’s own lawful, loving syntax for reality – the ordering of how life with Him is meant to work, spiritually, humanly, materially, emotionally, socially and financially.
God’s Spirit is the living power and essence of God’s constitution.
He is the one who designed the deep order of reality, and He is the One who bonds people into that order – writing God’s laws on their hearts and forming a new constitution in how they live, love, judge and build together.
Where the Spirit truly rules, God’s constitution is not just written in the Holy Bible; it is embodied in His people and His communities in the Body of Christ.
We cannot realise the Great Commission, or indeed any commission from God, to the degree we are not deeply rooted in His constitution.
This is vast, broad, deep and complex, and in due course we will share in greater depth as to how we all as brothers and sisters in Christ can be constituted in Him.
2. Targeted from Within: The Greatest Threats to the Body of Christ from Inside
“Take heed that no man deceive you.” (Matthew 24:4)
Christ commands watchfulness because deception rarely announces itself. It begins quietly—inside each of us—where nobody can see.
This begs the question of why we get deceived in the first place. And the reality is extremely disturbing.
Because deep down in many instances…
We want to be deceived.
That may sound counterintuitive, and it’s never as obvious as overtly wanting to be lied to or fooled.
It may be as subtle as wanting to hold on to what we believe.
Wanting to stay comfortable.
Not wanting to rock the boat or be rejected.
A fear of the unknown.
A deep, chronic, underlying inability to handle problems, stresses, challenges and conflict.
So we choose the convenient lie or half-truth, instead of the whole truth that tastes bitter in the moment.
And that can be as simple as believing something we see on social and/or mainstream media.
Or binging on the latest supposed “true crime” documentary (and most don’t care that it’s based mostly on fiction, while masquerading as truth, as long as it dulls our senses, deepens our stupor and drowns us further in our deception).
As a clinical psychologist, Dr Jordan Peterson explains from his own research with patients. He can see why people choose to deceive themselves.
3. Targeted from the Outside: How The Establishment Persecutes us Christians
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” — Galatians 6:7
In recent years, the BBC has been exposed for some of the worst cases of abuse, deception, manipulation and harassment in any mainstream media organisation.
So we must ask, is this BBC bias, partial and corrupt?
Increasingly, the answer from the public is a resounding “yes”.
But what do the people who have actually worked at the most senior levels of BBC News think?

The video from Dr Jordan Peterson is deeply chilling.
I really appreciate what has been shared here about God’s Constitution and the importance of being founded and grounded in that before we can truly embark on His commission for us as Christians in a genuine and authentic way.
It is a profoundly sobering realisation—one that many may initially find shocking. However, if we honestly examine ourselves, as we are being encouraged to do here, we begin to recognise just how many lies and deceptions we tell ourselves without even realising it, let alone those we may communicate to others.
The scale of this problem is deeply concerning, and it can only truly be rectified in Christ through correcting the record, beginning within ourselves. That process of self-examination, repentance, and alignment with truth is essential if we are to walk faithfully in what God has called us to do.

These updates feel more and more urgent and important across the board. These three areas expose crucial areas for my life and our lives. My personal relationship with God is pressing on me more and more to deepen and become more personal. The reality of deception is a life lesson I ought to have been taught when I was a child, to navigate myself and this world. But that’s part of the greater deception – we were never taught what we actually needed to build a substantial, meaningful, purposeful and valuable life.
I literally had a situation today where I was speaking with a so called Christian who thought that the Bible and the Quran were basically teaching the same thing… there’s so much deep deception even amongst the so called body of Christ, or those who claim to belong to it. It is so dangerous for us to be unprepared for what is coming.
Only the truth will truly set us free
A really insightful update today. It was in the early part of last year that we, at Lighthouse, were exploring the reality of how much self-deception sabotages our potential and subsequent progress. However, the latest breakthroughs through our research and experiences have uncovered more as to why this happens.
Having said that, the more we’re aware of our tendency to deceive ourselves, the more hope we have to find it and challenge it in ourselves.
Meanwhile the article on the Citizen BBC Verify site is incredibly revealing. It’s not surprising given our experience with the BBC over the last few years!
Deception, phew… the point Jordan Peterson makes cuts deep. I was brought up in the mentality of deception, but how destructive the ‘comfort zone’ is only really becomes clear when you need to act decisively in a jugular issue. With how the world is going, I’d hate to be one of those wrapped in cotton wool, the harsh reality will be too much for them.
On the far side of comfort, in the real world, through the valley of pain and suffering to get there, is where I want to be. To be the person who knows what to do when shit hits the fan, is the person I want to know, better so to be. God bless this knowledge. Thank you.
Thank you for this update and especially the video from Jordan Peterson. It reminds me of Dr M Scott Peck stating how everyone is at some level mentally ill because we all want to avoid the truth in at least one area of our life so we create stories. I can see here how Mr Peterson is stating that most of humanity will tell oursevles stories to deceive ourselves so that we can avoid the truth where it is painful. God bess both of these men and for Lighthouse showing this operates in Christianity.
Something we ought to have been taught from young and been brought up in is the discipline of self examination, looking for where and how we deceive ourselves and deceive each other. We all know deep down we have colluded and are colluding with others in a lie of some form or other, because we don’t want to face the pain of truth. That our families aren’t as healthy as we want to believe they are, that our we are closer to our friends than we really are, that it’s ok to have mediocre standards or less for ourselves and our lives. I am and we are all guilty of this to some extent and it’s a painful process undoing it, but one that liberates when undertaken. Sadly, so many in our entire society are going in the other direction today, where people have succumbed to wanting the lie far more than the objective truth — that’s why we have been left with so much wokeism and all that madness, where truth is whatever you subjectively want it to mean. These are powerful points in this update and the only effective answer to it all is to seek God with all our heart, our minds, our soul and our strength — He is the Way the Truth and the Life.
What a strong message in Jordan Peterson’s clip. It shows that there are real and potentially life destroying consequences that come from deceiving ourselves. God gave us 66 books of wisdom, and God’s constitution is eternal.
For sure, it can be painful to admit that we are deceiving ourselves, and it requires us to face our fears. However, that is exactly what the BBC and other establishment organisations use to control people. Instead of empowering people to face deception and seek truth, they create falsehoods and make it much harder for people to see through their lies.
That is why we need purpose built communities that empower one another, help people reconnect with truth and reality, and further come together as the Body of Christ.
Hard hitting truths like Dr Peterson shares, are not optional for us to hear as the Body, or any citizen. We live in a time where what is good is called evil and what is evil is called good and my own self deceit keeps me separate from Christ, which is why I’m taking self deceit more seriously than I ever have.
I and we need the founding in our Lord because we have work to do for Him, that is pressing and of priority…God be with His people.
Searching for truth and clarity is hard work which is why so few people do it well, if at all.
Having a community and people to help is essential to discover together what is actually true and what is not.
The fact that we are the biggest deceivers, we deceive ourselves about so much, and I can admit that I do deceive myself, only with Christ can I change that. What Dr Peterson said in his video hit a nerve, and I pray that it hits many nerves because we all need to understand what you are sharing here and why it is imperative that we, as Christians, take heed in what you are sharing…Thank you so much for this update, God bless…
