Lighthouse Daily – 22nd April 2026…
Dear fellow citizens and brothers and sisters in Christ,
Today we have a very important announcement to make. This is an announcement that concerns the safety and protection of Christians. Not from the threats of the kingdom of darkness like corrupt governments or the weaponisation of government agencies, but the threat from within.
For the sake of context, before we explain the details of this announcement, here is what we shared on Sunday’s Daily Update:
The Greatest Threat to Christians is Within
One of the greatest threats [to Christians] comes in the guise of journalism. Whether it’s the mainstream media or an independent journalist, many of these people parade as bastions of truth. They claim to be reporters, fact-finders, researchers, but in the vast majority of cases, they are anything but. A Christian journalist no less, may even claim to be of support and champion your cause, but their main priority is not you —it is their name, their reputation, their identity as a journalist, their content, their income. We become a story to them, not a real brother or sister. You’re simply a means for their income, their clickbait. These are Christian journalists who publicly defend and champion the BBC as national institutions to be preserved. The same BBC that promotes transgenderism and abuses children for decades without responsibility or remorse, minimises the murder and rape of thousands of Nigerian Christians. At the same time, they attack Christians through fake pseudo-documentaries, and refuse to label Hamas as terrorists.
In fact, we have strong reason to believe that this individual may have received payment, or been influenced in some way, by branches of the establishment, including the BBC. The aim being to gain access and insight into our community and for fellow Christians to be seen publicly attacking us. We cannot rule this possibility out. We are all praying for this individual, that they would repent in Christ and truly practice what they preach in public.
After seeking legal counsel, we can now announce the name of the individual whom we have referred to earlier this week. We do so with a very heavy heart, after much consideration for them, their personal situation and for the Body of Christ.
Reluctantly, we have come to this decision to name the individual —Christian Hacking.
Mr Hacking is a self-identified “very amateur independent Christian journalist”. This may come as a surprise to some reading this. Indeed, it came as a mortifying and horrible shock to us. We are now able to share details about Mr Hacking as a major and urgent case study for the Body of Christ to be very astute and discerning of the dangers and threats that can come in the guise of a seemingly supportive brother or sister in Christ.
Mr Hacking remains in all of our prayers, that he repent for the damage he has caused, the wrongs he has conducted, and those he intends to. It is our most sincere and earnest hope and prayer that we come to know Mr Hacking as a true brother in the Spirit of our Lord.

Thank you for this update, and for making it clear that one of the greatest threats to Christians can come from within.
I pray for Christian Hacking, that he recognises his wrongdoing and genuinely repents for the damage he has caused. It is deeply sad to see how trust was abused, and how Paul Waugh was targeted.
This feels like another real example of how the Judas Syndrome plays out in practice, and why it is so important to protect the Body of Christ from attacks that arise from within its own ranks.

Thank you for this vital update. This is really awful. It’s really disturbing but sobering to start coming to terms with the actual state that the Body of Christ is in. God have mercy on us. Christian Hacking is in my prayers, along with Paul and the whole Lighthouse team.
I appreciate this update and the fact that the decision to name Christian Hacking was not taken lightly (as shown by the updates over the last few days). However, as highlighted in the Judas Syndrome article, there are many who identify as being a Christian brother or sister… yet their actions and willingness to betray trust show otherwise.
Tragic and deeply sad—but this is an example that must be shared. Unfortunately, some who claim to care, love, and support us can prove to be the opposite in nature, character, and conduct. I pray that he repents, and that each of us also has the courage to face our own wrongdoing and turn to Christ, who alone can truly save. God willing. God bless.
This is definitely a deeply saddening situation, but what I appreciate most here is Lighthouse’s willingness to confront it openly and honestly, with balance and concern for all involved. They are not shying away from the reality of what needs to be done to ensure God’s laws and principles are lived out and the truth is upheld so that people’s lives and livelihoods are protected in line with that. I pray for a Godly and righteous resolution that will demonstrate His glory across the board.
The worst thing for me, more than him being a journalist, a bastion of truth, was him presenting himself as an ally, a brother in Christ, and he isn’t. He’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing, using a Christian angle to get the scoop, to get the juicy story that will finally make him, and there’s the point, the primary focus was himself and that is where the inhumanness, the inhumane, was revealed. I needing to look past the seemingly nice smile and pleasant demeanour but into who they are. This is a big lesson.
I’m quite shocked that this situation has materialised. I remember the times I and we prayed with Mr Hacking at court and I know how much Paul Waugh aided him when Mr Hacking stated he wanted to support us. In the name of objectivity what Mr Hacking has done is highly subjective false and selective. I hope he repents and I look forward to the further details being released showing the truth. I truly look forward to being able to work with Mr Hacking in a dedication to truth and hope that day is sooner rather than later. In the meantime the lessons from this can be used to educate the body and the discernment needed 🙏
Thank you for this update. It is highly concerning that the Body can be atttacked from within and it’s crucial that what has happened to us is learnt from so that it can be prevented moving forward 🙏
Knowing who to trust is so important. I pray that we can all learn from this experience and come together closer in the worship of Christ as true brothers.
We do continue to pray for Mr Hacking’s repentance and we must also call out the danger that this type of pathology and character poses to the Body of Christ. We have work to do to serve our Lord and we therefore need true brothers and sisters to support and help us, not cause damage and sabotage. Thank you for the powerful article 🙏
I am disappointed to hear this, but I truly hope that Christian will make this right. I pray that we can come together and focus on what the Enemy is doing to Christians around the world, without having to worry about what other Christians may be doing to harm one another. Our focus and priority should be on spreading the Gospel, supporting others in coming to Christ, and equipping the Body of Christ to stand united against evil.
Thank you for this update, the clear indication that we are not aware of those around us, who say they are Christian, but who are wolves in sheep’s clothing. It is an eye-opener that someone who came to the guys in court in good faith has now turned on them and Paul, who extended his hand to him. Someone who saw what they were about, heard all the statements being made, but still chose to go against them. I pray for Christian Hacking. I pray he will see the errors of his ways and will repent.
