What I love about this update today is, this isn’t a self-congratulatory the whole story thing of, “yay, we made it, we’re 21 years, look at how amazing we are”. No, look at how amazing God is, and look how fortunate we are, and look at how merciful He is, and look at how protected we are in Him. Because by all means, we should not be here, given the attacks that have come from our families, from the government, from the media.. the amount that the kingdom of darkness and its forces have tried to drain us from so many different angles by all rights, gives more testimony to the love, the protection and the immense mercy of God. We have worked hard and we have sacrificed massively. Not least Paul who’s paid such a heavy price. It is all worth it. Nothing will ever be wasted. God bless you Paul. God bless Lighthouse increasingly rooted in the Rock of Christ.

I was sad that Paulie couldn’t write anything directly for the update today and I hope and pray that he is able to heal. I know he set the intention that this would be the week for the open letters but I just want him to heal and recover and whenever the time is right I know it will be absolutely right on time for those letters to be launched into the Body of Christ and into this world.

A stunning and befitting account for God’s providence, Lighthouse Global, Paul and everyone here who has been willing to sacrifice, work and commit to start the work of preparation for life…not an existence, but a life grounded in Christ and right living.
Our aim, as ordinary people, to never say no to a person in need, is the most profound aim I have ever heard and the tyrants, whether in our family or in the kingdom of darkness, have been consistent and relentless in trying to destroy us, slow us down and convince us that we are doing something wrong. What The BBC didn’t get, but are fast getting now, is that God’s Will, will be done. No matter what they have tried or will try, their grotesque and unenviable character, is being revealed for the world to see and there is nothing they can do to stop that momentum. They are reaping what they have sown! And whilst they desperately try to fill the gaping cracks and crevices of their reputation, we will continue our work of developing and realising our God-given human potential, serving those in need and holding them and any other who has tried to destroy us, to the highest account. Please pray for anyone who try to stop God’s people from doing His work and please pray for us to continue to persevere in this hostile world. 21 years. What an anniversary, what a birthday. I’ve been trying to find the words to summarise what this means and to try somehow and put words to not just what this means to Lighthouse but also what it means to me personally.

When I reached 21 in my life, I had already experienced so much pain, so much heartbreak and had made enough mistakes to last a lifetime. And I went on to make even more mistakes over the next decade. But Lighthouse reaching 21 is not just a miracle because the organisation and all its people have also been through so much difficulty and heartbreak—it’s a miracle because even after 5 years of being actively and maliciously attacked, it still stands. And not just stands, but is bolder, stronger and more convicted than ever.

Those who have followed all the attacks against us know that for us to survive let alone thrive under these circumstances would be impossible off the back of our own strength. I want to thank Paul Waugh for his strength and commitment to keep fighting the good fight despite all the challenges and burdens he’s had, and for his love and dedication to serve and support no matter what. I want to thank this community as a whole for their growing hearts, character and courage. I want to thank my husband Kris Deichler without whom I never would have experienced any of this, or learned so much, or grown through it.

Finally and most importantly, I thank God for the refining fire, for the mercy and grace He shows me and us every day, for teaching me that He truly is sovereign, over every single entity, institution, worldly so called authority. Through Him, we’ve become a fierce opponent to these anti-Christ influences. It’s been a true awakening to see and experience His hand over us.

What an incredible update by everyone involved in writing this!

And a very happy birthday to Lighthouse 🎉

Thank you to Paul and especially to those who were here at the very beginning — who hit the ground running and ensured that the work we do stayed centred on reality and truth-seeking, not on self-glorification or becoming like so many self-help organisations and movements.

Through much pain and struggle, we’ve stayed anchored to Christ — the Rock that He is — and that’s been through the leadership, perseverance, and suffering that Paulie has endured over these 21 years. It’s remarkable that, in such times as these, with doors opening and opportunities arising (even with things like Trump’s presidency and all that’s unfolding globally), the work we’re doing has the chance to reach further than ever before.

This is truly something to behold and to cherish deeply.

Thank you to everyone for bringing these daily updates together and for staying faithful, amidst many trials and tribulations.

Thank You to God for bringing us through all of these seasons of change — and may we press on forward for however long this Godly work is needed. 🙏 In His name, I pray and ask these things.

The fact that Paul wasn’t well enough to write something for this update on such a significant day tells us how much that man has put into and is bleeding for the work that Lighthouse does. God bless him and speed his recovery and renewal.. But it just shows how much spiritually and in many other ways he has been so attacked and assaulted for what is objectively, clearly, the most important work that there is. I say that because it just objectively is. How is the development and realisation of our God-given human potential not THE most important thing for us all in a world with so many problems.. just over 8.2 billion problems right now in fact, according to the internet, whether its Lighthouse or any other organisation, family, or person. There are at least 8.2 billion problems because the first problem in any of our lives is ourselves. The fact that we aren’t perfect, that we have soooo many flaws, that we create and cause soo many other problems because of that, makes us a massive problem. We each are a problem creator and so if we are going to solve the world’s problems and help make the lives and way of life for the 8.2 billion of us better than it currently is; more loving, more caring, more supportive, more compassionate, more interdependent, healthier, wealthier, I can go on, then surely we have to start dealing with the problems we have in ourselves. We need to become masterful problem solvers.

We need to face the lack of those things we want to see more of in the world in our own hearts and souls, because solving the problem of the lack of love in the world, for instance, starts with the lack of love in ourselves. What is our potential for love? How much are we realising our potential? How DO we realise that potential? Just looking at this one all important dynamic of love shows us just how important learning about and understanding what our potential actually is, what is in the way of realising that and then working to solve those problems and remove those barriers to greater levels of love so we can realise it. That is the most important work anyone can be doing in life, in God, with God. Because God isn’t going to just click His fingers and make all our problems go away. He wants us to be involved and He wants us to grow through this work, whether it’s at Lighthouse or farming sheep in Mongolia. Caring about and realising our human, God-given potential is what matters most and I only have to look at how much I’ve not felt that, not thought that, not believed that anywhere near as much as I ought to and need to in order to act on that, to see again, the reality of how the problem starts with and inside me.

So thank God that Lighthouse exists to be as committed and resolute in striving to work on this as we can be. And to help all who want to, genuinely want to, and are committed to suffering the journey of that, the many deaths in ourselves we have to go through in order to be renewed and to grow to the next level, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, in Christ. This day, the 21st birthday of Lighthouse is a monumental for all it encompasses and the fact that, as far as I and we know, no one else in this world is doing this work in this way and none of this would have happened if it wasn’t for the A) God and B) God’s work in and through Paul, his commitment and incredible resolve to make this happen. Thanks and praise be to our God, to our Christ and the Holy Spirit. May He bless Paul, Lighthouse, the work that is done here and everyone within it whose hearts and souls are genuinely invested in this and all those who will be that we are yet to find and involve for the next 21 years and into eternity and infinity.
