Good day everyone,
Today we’re publishing a new piece on something that might sound small but actually cuts right to the heart of what Lighthouse is about. BBC journalist Catrin Nye described our work helping people grow and realise their potential as “boring.”
In this article, we unpack why that single word matters so much for anyone who cares about human character, parenting, journalism, and the future of our children. Far from being a throwaway insult, it exposes a deeper contempt for the slow, costly work of genuine human development—and raises hard questions about who we can trust to tell the public the truth.

3. Today’s Daily “Citizen/Christian and the Establishment Problem” Example
How Banking Controls the Masses — and Why the BBC Won’t Tell You
There is a reason most people don’t understand how money really works and it isn’t because it’s too complicated. It’s because the truth is actively withheld.
On Jan 18th, we showed economist Dr Richard Werner explaining how the Establishment controls the masses through money. We then explained how the BBC are complicit in this.
In today’s video we show Dr Werner going into detail about this including how the BBC have never aired footage of him exposing how the banking systems works and why. Namely because of their close ties to the banking establishment!
While Mr Werner does get quite technical, the main issue to understand is that the banking system operates on a foundational deception. We are told banks take deposits and lend money. In reality, at law, your “deposit” is a loan you give to the bank. When you take out a mortgage or loan, the bank does not hand you existing money, it creates new money by typing numbers into your account, backed only by your signed obligation to repay. This power is not available to other businesses, individuals, or even governments directly. It belongs exclusively to banks.
Why does this matter? Because whoever controls money controls society.
Banks are allowed to manipulate accounting classifications in a particular way no other businesses can. This gives them the legal power to create money, add interest to it, and dictate the terms under which the public lives, while other businesses, and households are forced to operate within scarcity.
Ask yourself, were you ever taught this?
Now ask yourself, why not? Is that an accident? Deliberate? Both? .
While it is disturbing that this system exists in the first place, what exacerbates this is that the system is protected by silence.
Dr Werner explains that the BBC filmed a documentary in 2014, where this money-creation process was observed directly inside a bank by him and documented in peer-reviewed research. Yet twelve years later, the footage has never been aired.
Why?
Because the BBC is not a neutral observer. It sits uncomfortably close to the very institutions it is supposed to scrutinise — the City of London, the financial elite, and the Establishment interests that benefit from public ignorance. As Dr Werner explains The City of London Corporation itself operates like a state within a state, beyond democratic accountability, and deeply intertwined with global banking power.
This is how control is maintained. Not through force, but through misinformation and omission. People argue about politics, culture, and identity while the financial system that governs their lives remains unquestioned. The BBC amplifies safe debates and cultural distractions while burying material that would expose the real mechanics of power. This is not exclusive to money matters. The result is a population trapped in debt, taxed through inflation, disciplined through credit scores, and governed by institutions it does not understand and cannot vote out.
This is not accidental. A public that understood money would never accept the current system. And an Establishment that depends on banking power cannot afford that awakening.That is why the truth is hidden. That is why the footage was never aired. 4. Lighthouse Associates Consensus Feedback
The following is an excerpt from feedback that was shared with Paul by Lighthouse associates following a call with them yesterday.
We came away from this call carrying a shared sense that something fundamental is shifting within us — not just because of what was communicated, but because of what it is awakening and bringing into focus inside each of us, individually and together. Themes of love, grief, responsibility, value, and what it actually means to live honestly before God, rather than performing an image of “goodness,” have moved closer to the surface.
Many of us are recognising how deeply our expectations of life have been shaped by learning to hide, manage, or suppress what we felt from a very early age, often as a way of surviving environments where our own needs were secondary, misunderstood, or inconvenient. Over time this has led us to confuse existing with living, unnecessary suffering with love, and outward composure with inward truth.
What has been particularly revealing is the growing realisation that pain, grief, and sorrow are not interruptions to a meaningful life or signs of failure, but essential aspects of loving rightly, of maturing, and of participating in reality as it actually is. When seen through Christ, suffering is no longer something to escape or disguise, but something that can be entered into with humility and purpose — transforming what was unnecessary into something meaningful.
Alongside this, we are becoming more aware of how little we have truly understood our own worth, and how living without a grounded sense of value has quietly shaped fear, avoidance, resentment, guilt, and self-protection. We can see how much unnecessary pain has flowed from not knowing — at a deep level — that we mattered enough for someone to willingly bear cost and responsibility on our behalf.
Hearing that love is measured not by sentiment, but by the willingness to carry burden and responsibility, struck deeply. It has helped us reflect more honestly on what was given and what was withheld in our own lives, and on the confusion that arises when care is mixed with obligation, resentment, or unspoken expectation, leaving us unsure whether our presence itself was truly welcomed.
As we continue to process all of this, there is a shared sense that we are standing at a significant point — not because everything is suddenly clear or resolved, but because we are becoming more willing to remain present with what is difficult. There is a growing capacity to sit with pain — our own and each other’s — without rushing to fix, escape, or spiritualise it, and to allow God to work at a depth that cannot be controlled or hurried.
Above all, we are thankful — for faithfulness, for the honesty and courage within this community, and for God’s patience and mercy with us as He continues to teach us what love actually looks like when it is grounded in truth, responsibility, and genuine care for one another. x x

We’re beginning to understand ourselves and our growth in a new way through the lens of human development. Many qualities we wish we had—love, perseverance, curiosity, empathy—aren’t just attitudes to choose, but seeds that needed care, guidance, and time to grow. Where those beginnings were missing, we’ve often tried to build on ground that was never properly prepared.
The distinctions between what is elemental, fundamental, and essential are helping us see how much of our development has focused on surface performance while deeper capacities remained untouched. The bonsai image captures this perfectly: effort, structure, and attention can exist, yet the result may still be restricted, dependent, and unable to grow into what it was designed to become.
This perspective doesn’t leave us overwhelmed, but gives us a steadier way forward—nurturing what is most essential first, allowing growth to build in the right order, and recognising that what was dormant does not have to stay that way. Above all, it reminds us of our worth to God and the hope Christ provides for life and growth where it was previously undeveloped. x x
It is fascinating, to say the least, how much we are never taught at school or while growing up. The fact that the BBC and other media outlets perpetuate this—continuing to omit or cover up information that would genuinely benefit the very public that funds them—means we are deliberately kept in the dark. That is precisely why what we are doing here, and what The Lighthouse will bring, matters: it shines light on systems such as the banking system and others like it.

And so much we don’t know….Major respect for the revealing of that we is hidden from us common people. This is system is painting as it’s just how it is and never get a whiff of what really going on. When you really start looking this system is horrendous! We’re slave to the establishment.
Wow, these are fascinating and revealing insights from Richard Werner. It’s incredible how much is hidden in plain sight from citizens. Not surprising at all that the BBC hasn’t broadcast this material that shows how the banks create money. It’s in the public interest, but not in the Establishment’s interest!
Similarly the article about Catrin Nye’s seemingly throwaway comment about Lighthouse being “boring”, shines yet more light on the darkness that the BBC promotes whilst presenting itself as an “angel of light”. It is quite frightening what consequences such coverage of personal growth has.
Wow, I can’t say I am that shocked given the BBC’s history of concealing vital information but the fact they didn’t include Dr Werner’s pioneering research exposing the banking industry says so much about their partiality. While they continue to maintain they are impartial.
This once again exposes the “tricknicalities” used by the establishment. What Dr Werner explains makes it clear that our common understanding of banks and how they operate is fundamentally different from the reality of their inner workings. I had never previously understood that depositing money into a bank is, in effect, lending money to the bank. The scale of power, control, and influence exercised by banks is something I had never been properly educated about. This is knowledge we should have been given from an early age.
Yet educating people about how systems truly function and even more importantly, about who we are as human beings, directly challenges the way the establishment operates. It threatens existing societal structures and entrenched distributions of power. That is precisely why institutions attack those who uncover truth. The BBC’s documythary A Very British Cult, and journalist Catrin Nye dismissing human development as “boring,” are clear attempts to protect systems and structures that benefit only a few.

🔥 This is damning! The BBC claim impartiality and yet clearly adhere to their overlords, who control society through money and mainstream media, to reinforce and further their agenda of control, exploit and intentional withholding of empowering knowledge from the public.
Again, they underestimate God, just as they underestimated Lighthouse and now what has been done in the dark is fast coming to the light!
Thank you for sharing more from Dr Werner and the information he’s giving us about the banking system. It just shows how all our institutions are in bed together to uphold and protect the establishment and to maintain their control. From a Christian perspective this is not a surprise at all. The Bible tells us that this world is ultimately under the control and direction of the Devil, hence so much deception to mask and hide the truth that what they are doing is clearly not in the public interest, but the few elites of the establishment.
I’m not surprised at all that the BBC didn’t air this documentary either, nor that they didn’t research it enough to realise how much Dr Werner’s work didn’t align with the establishment before going ahead and filming it. That very much adds up with who we’ve come to learn the BBC is. The scary thing is that this information is still out there and yet the entire economics field has been bought off or intimidated into silence on blowing the whistle on it. We must all pray for these institutions and those leading them, while bringing the truth to light like this.
This is such a massive part of deception, not that we are told lies, but what we are not told. I’ve never asked myself until Paul taught me the reality that the News programmes decide what news is being dispersed to the masses. So who decides that these programmes are giving us the right information? Why has there been a surge in BBC News and other outlets sharing the latest gossip on the royals or a celeb, and selling it as news? So no surprise that the BBC is concealing, deliberately or not, the reality of what money really is, and what it is not. This is, as Paul has taught, indoctrination and propaganda by omission, which is by commission, from the establishment.
The BBC withhold footage on this for 11 years…. and spend 18 months (supposedly) making a documythry about Lighthouse? Does not add up when you look objectively at where their resources and focus is!
We have been blindsided by so much, we are controlled by the establishment what we can and can’t know. Lied to so that we become ignorant. This is and eye opening update, once again, as to the depth the BBC will go to cover up what they don’t want the public to know. Is that in the publics interest? No. But this article is.
The only thing worse than controlling people through the banking system, is controlling people through the ‘information system’. By not educating people through schools and the BBC news about how banking actually works, all 3 work together for the establishment and keep everyone else suppressed.
It is disrespectful, immature and preposterous to describe human development as boring. I shudder to think how that attitude affects families and children all over the world, because it’s one thing to simply be ignorant. But to be cognisant enough but so prideful that you call it boring is an abomination.
