Lighthouse Daily – 20th April 2026..
Editors Note: Since publishing this article, we have sought legal counsel. As of the 22nd April, 2026, we can now announce the name of this individual in concern. We do so with a very heavy heart, after much consideration for them, their personal situation and for the Body of Christ. Reluctantly, we have come to this decision to name the individual, who is Christian Hacking, the self-identified “very amateur” independent Christian journalist. We are now able to share details about Mr Hacking as a major and urgent case study, for the Body of Christ to be very astute, discerning and aware of the dangers and threats that can come in the guise of a seemingly supportive brother or sister in Christ. Mr Hacking remains in all of our prayers, that he repent for the damage he has caused and the wrongs he has conducted. It is our most sincere and earnest hope and prayer that we come to know Mr Hacking as a true brother in the Spirit of our Lord.
Dear fellow citizens and brothers and sisters in Christ,
Yesterday we exposed the greatest threat to the Body of Christ, the Judas Syndrome.
Many of you reading this right now will have already underestimated this threat without realising it.
After all, it’s Judas, right, that kind of betrayer would be easy to spot, right?
Well, think about this…
- Jesus Christ chose 12 disciples to serve with Him for three years as part of His Ministry
- Peter, the leader, was arrogant, rude, brash, cocky and even rebuked Jesus Christ (Matthew 14:28-29)
- James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were so entitled and demanding, that they wanted to sit by Jesus’ right and left hand in Heaven (Mark 10:37)
- They even got their mother involved in trying to persuade Jesus… their mother! (Matthew 20:21)
- Thomas doubted Jesus was even who He said He was after His Resurrection (John 20:25)
- John, who scribed the Book of Revelation, was so competitive with Peter, he included the fact that he could run faster than him in his gospel account
Would you really be looking to Judas as the one who would betray you or our Lord?
None of the other disciples did.
And that’s exactly why the Judas Syndrome is such a devastating threat.

This syndrome is precisely why we are in the process of seeking legal counsel, to hold a specific Christian independent journalist accountable, for the damage they have already caused and are still seeking to cause, in the name of Christ. Just because they call themselves a Christian, does not give them any more licence to invade someone’s life, harm them while they are at their most vulnerable, and act like they are a public servant. Especially when such a so-called independent journalist, literally praises the BBC as if they are a bastion of truth and justice, with vast, mounting evidence to the contrary.
It must be said that we feel deeply sad for this individual and the militant ignorance they appear to be engulfed in. We each and all, are praying for their heart to be changed by God, for wisdom to grow in them, that we would truly know them and they us, as a sibling in our Lord eternally.

What I’ve appreciated learning is how Christ’s original core team was such a motley crew. They were all caught up in their competitiveness and selfishness that they never thought or saw that Judas would betray their leader, teacher and mentor Jesus Christ right under their noses.
Now, almost 2,000 years later we still see betrayal within the Body of Christ. Educating ourselves and each other on the Judas Syndrome is so very necessary. Now we’ve almost come to expect it from the media and the government in the shape of the BBC and the Insolvency Service, but it’s a bitter bite coming from those who claim to be a brother in Christ.
The Judas spirit exits in different degrees in all of us. One of the hardest but needed questions I’ve had to ask myself before, and again now, is where is that Judas spirit in me? To think it’s not there is blindsiding ourselves. Christ has saved us from Hell, and a Hellish attitude that would take over were it not for Him. I really value the perspective that Judas was not obvious. That’s certainly been my experience with much pain and sadness through it. I knew that this year would bring betrayal and pain, but I didn’t expect it the way it came. I’m thankful to experience a tiny fraction of what our Lord has gone and goes through. Thank you for this — the Judas Syndrome is something I’ve had to reckon with deeply, having experienced significant betrayal myself.
What struck me most in my healing was the uncomfortable realisation that I couldn’t only look outward at those who had betrayed me. I had to ask: where had I already betrayed myself? Where had I compromised my own values, ignored my conscience, or silenced my instincts long before anyone else let me down? In a very real sense, I had been my own Judas first — and that left me more exposed to the betrayal that followed.
This isn’t about self-blame. It’s about honesty. Because the Judas Syndrome isn’t only a threat from without — it can operate from within us too, in the small surrenders and self-deceptions, the moments we go along with something we knew wasn’t right. And genuine healing can’t fully happen without facing that.
The disciples didn’t see Judas coming. But the fractures in Peter, in James and John, in Thomas — left unexamined, those are exactly where betrayal finds its way in.

This feels like such a critical and important update. So often, we focus on protecting ourselves from external threats, while overlooking the reality that the most dangerous attacks can come from within. What Judas did was profoundly evil, and it calls us to remain alert to the spiritual battle unfolding both around us and within us. It challenges us to grow in discernment and to draw closer to the Truth.
As Christians, it is vital that we grow up in our faith and stand together as the Body of Christ, supporting, strengthening, and protecting one another in challenging times of testing 🙏🏻
Thank you for the education – reading what the disciples did in list form like that hits home why Christ said he came to save the sinners as doctors don’t heal those that aren’t ill.
Knowing who to trust is essential when building any worthwhile community.
i value the growing awareness of truth of state of man. It’s has helped me bring scripturally the reason why so many Christians will be going to hell and it’s right here – Judas syndrome. Some many people are lying to themselves about following Christ. The Body of Christ has to look deeply at themselves in honest and real ways.
Again, Lighthouse is shining light and raising awareness in the areas that we least like to speak about but that are the most pernicious if left unchecked and undealt with. The enemy within; ourselves and those closest to us. We are all fallen and we all fall short of the glory of God, but how far. What I appreciate here is the call and need for us all to look in and at ourselves as well as each other and at the same time, to look to Christ Himself and His laws and principles. This is why it’s so necessary to be part of a purpose built community that is dedicated to aligning with those laws and principles as much as possible and holding each other to them.
Being aware of false teachers and false friends is all over scripture, and there is a difference between that and a brother or sister. Some call themselves a brother or sister to your face and then stab you in the back. If it can happen and is expected with non-believers, it can happen with believers also. What stands out to me reading this, is even if you have been screwed over by someone who calls you brother/sister hundreds of times, it’s still heartbreaking. I personally long for the Kingdom so much, where our communities and hearts will be pure and undefiled by selfishness and wickedness.
Trust is one of my top values because I find it difficult to trust people because of how I’ve been treated in the past. What you are helping me to feel and understand is that even though we may be surrounded by people who call themselves Christian, does not mean they are. I am grateful that God has led me to people who I can trust and have and are helping me considerably.
God commands that we don’t bear false witness against our brothers and sisters, yet there are individuals that are doing this.
I pray for them that they may see this and repent for their actions.
Thank you for emphasis on the devastating impact of internal threat as Christian’s. I do not hear enough about this very real threat and it can be very tempting to believe someone who claims to know and love Christ, would be of no threat…I know I want to believe this too. But we must be switched on and careful. Anything that could threaten our moving closer to Christ or impedes our work for God, has to be addressed expeditiously.
