A Divine Personal Relationship With God
“O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; my soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You.” — Psalms 63:1
As we start the week, we wanted to convey a fundamentally important message without distraction.
What does it actually mean to build and grow in a divinely personal, intimate relationship with God?
Not a caricature.
Not a figment of our imagination.
But a real, deepening, intimate, personal bond?
This very question was asked recently in one of our Lighthouse Global meetings.

Such an unexpectedly stunning piece here, wow. Thank you so much for this. I have a relationship with God, but it’s crazy to me how I can still forget the extent to which our God is a relational God who created us for relationship with Him. Every time I think I appreciate that, I’m proved to have only skimmed the surface. Praise God indeed!!

The power of meaning and understanding the depth in something so simple yet complex and rather than over simplifying it to the point it becomes just superficial and empty, is profound in this. As you are sharing, it’s not just about building an interpersonal bond with our Father, it’s about our divinely personal, intimate relationship with Him. Really appreciate this post that’s highlighting what’s ultimately most important to our experience of life and living. The fact is that whatever and whoever God is, He gave me and us all the gift of life. This is based on the fundamental law of cause and effect. On this basis alone it makes absolute sense to seek to have the best possible relationship with Him. Yet beyond that, Christ came to earth to be crucified and rise again to offer the hope of eternity. I hope anyone reading this will use this post to come closer to God compared to before; whether they know Him yet or not.
